How long does it take to cook chips?

Actually I’ve tried most methods but there is one we stick to, it sounds strange but believe the chips are fabulous. I watched nigella Lawson . Prepare your chips and drop them into the basket in cold oil, the turn up to 170* the let them cook for about 12 to 15 mins. And no the cold oil does not soak into the chips. Try it they are awsome

Does it have an on/ off switch

The temperature dial acts as a on off switch. We unplug soon as we have finished using it.We are really pleased with the fryer.

Can anyone tell me how long the oil lasts before having to change it

that just depends on how often you use it (a dozen time) we tend to drain the oil back into a container & wash the flyer in the dishwasher great chips

Is the main part that holds the fat stainless steel or is it a non stick materiel ?

The outer shrll is stainless steel. The inner container is steel with a Teflon coating.
