Philips OneBlade Pro QP6520/30 Trimmer 14-length Comb

I have struggled for the whole of my adult life with pseudofolliculitis which means that I can't wet shave, so my only option is to use an electric trimmer. I have tried a multitude of products over the years, but they all have the same major drawbacks: the shave is not very close at all, leaving behind coarse stubble; the blades tend to be scratchy, leaving behind red, irritated skin; and shaving takes a considerable amount of time and effort, making it a real chore.I saw this product advertised on television a week or so ago and thought that it would be worth trying out. I ordered one a few days ago and have used it a few times now since it was delivered. I am amazed at how quickly I can shave with it and at how close the shave is (compared to normal beard trimmers or clippers.) I can shave in 5 minutes and I look very clean-shaven with only a very slight sensation of stubble when running my hand across my face. It's just the right level of closeness to avoid ingrown hairs. I also have absolutely no skin irritation from the blade, which is engineered so well that it cuts incredibly closely without scratching and also does not nick the soft skin around the mouth, lips, etc.This is one of my best ever purchases. I can honestly say that it is an amazing, life-changing product for me. I can now enjoy a really close shave, without any skin irritation, in just 5 minutes. I would whole-heartedly recommend this product to anybody considering purchasing it and I'm incredibly grateful to Philips for putting such a fantastic product on the market.

Over the years I have a huge range of electric/battery shavers and trimmers and all of them have always had at least one thing one thing wrong, whether it is the length of the cut, the quality, the irritation caused and before this I was using an expensive Wahl trimmer which I was quite content with. However, after seeing the OneBlade advertised I was more than happy to give it a go to get the close, irritation free cut that was being broadcasted.I can honestly say I don't regret it at all! The OneBlade without the trimmer attachment cuts perfectly short just as you would expect from a shaver and it really does cause no irritation whatsoever (for me anyway) I found the cut to be most effective when going against the grain. The only downside of this shaver is that sometimes I do find I have to go over a part of my face more than once to get all the hairs, but I am more happy to do so knowing that I could do it all day without any pain or resentment for the task of shaving.I don't have a beard ordinarily but at the time of ordering my facial hair had gotten a bit long, so I used the opportunity to test the trimmer attachment and this was just as pleasing as the shaver. Great product that stops shaving being a chore, the battery life is great, I shave once a week and it would last around 3 or 4 months but I charge it when it reaches around 25%. The battery indicator is a nice touch and it is very easy to clean the hair away when you are finished. I can't recommend this shaver enough!

Arrived today and used once so these are my first thoughts:Arrived without charge, as expected, though didn't take long to charge. I plugged it in, left it and checked on it between 1-2hrs later and it was at 100% so that's good.Feels great in hand, good angle on the blade and you can shave both with or against the grain without turning the upsidedown. It's light and not too noisy, same level as a battery trimmer but the umph of a foil shaver.I usually keep a beard of varying lengths but I shave/trim my neck and beard line regularly with a Philips electric groomer. I haven't used a regular blade in years so I'm attributing the slight razor burn experienced to that (see photo, it disappeared after 20mins) although I do have sensitive skin around the Adam's apple anyway.I shaved dry and from all angles and I have to say the result is very impressive. Halfway between a thorough wet shave against the grain and a shave with the grain overall but in some places I wouldn't be able to tell a difference. Either way it's better than any foil I've used.You're advised to replace the blade every 4 months and I know they're expensive but for maintaining my beard I think I can easily get away with much longer. In the past I'd prolly be locked up if the shaving authorities found out how long I used the same regular blade razor for.The sensation when shaving is very smooth, buttery even dry, no pulling or nicking. One customer has answered a question saying you can use it without charge like a regular blade but I tried it on a section I'd done a first pass on and it pulled stubble I couldn't even see so not recommended.Those are my first thoughts, happy to answer any questions and if I think on I'll update after extended use.

First impression - great shaver which looks expensive.I bought this primarily as a beard/stubble trimmer having not had a clean shave for over 5 years.On opening the box, it initially felt a little flimsy to hold, but after using it for the first time I prefer its lighter weight to my previous Philips beard trimmer which had a broken prong on the attachment which could not be replaced.I charged it up on its stand as it had 0% battery on arrival in the box. Once charged, I trimmed my two week beard using the different settings starting at 8, going down in gradual steps eventually settling on 2.5. My missus also gave me a long overdue neck shave, which is very close. After a longer than normal first use, the battery is on 90%.The single adjustable beard/stubble attachment is great as I don’t like using multiple attachments. It gives a very even trim all over. The stand is an added bonus.I also purchased a fitted hard case for travelling to protect it in my suitcase.
