I confess to an appalling level of naiveté. I must have been living under an internet rock for the past few years. Thus, when I decided to start a blog, I was completely uninformed as to the current state of affairs. It was a very pleasant surprise to learn that it is possible to use a blog as a source of income. Nice. However, I didn’t have a clue how to go about doing that.It was at this point I did an Amazon Kindle search for books on this subject. I quickly found a number of books and downloaded samples of a few that looked appropriate. Upon examining those samples, most of them began with a promise that, if I faithfully followed their instructions, I could also make large amounts of money. (The detailed instructions were to be revealed only after I purchased the book.)This was not the case in this book by Joseph Hogue. From the first pages in the sample, he offered immediate, detailed instructions with personal accounts from his own blogs. By the time I finished with the sample, I was convinced of his credibility and that his writing style and level of information was suitable for my situation. I downloaded the full book and skimmed it before settling back for a second, more careful reading.Beginning with the simplest and most immediate payouts, he proceeded to walk me through the setups of the many different ways to make money from a blog, including recommendations of which specific services and apps he used. Some of them, I can apply immediately; others are for the future – perhaps. But, I am now aware of them and can position myself to utilize them if circumstances warrant. For the present, I can begin to work on creating my blog with a clearer understanding of how to generate income while creating meaningful blog content. His detailed information and suggestions, including links, along with his personal experiences make me feel confident that I can successfully recognize the challenges and opportunities.Recommended without reservations.

It’s an okay book. It does what I says it’s going to do which is talk about the different ways to make money from blogging. The book goes into great detail about strategies such making money from webinars. But if you are just beginning your blog I doubt you can make money through from webinars if your just starting out. Therefore I would the book is somewhat beginner friendly but not so really at the same time. I would recommend learning more practical stuff such as SEO, driving traffic and promoting your blog. Still the book was useful for me I just wouldn’t recommend it for a beginner blogger since most of the beginner friendly content is information that can easily be found on the free internet.

I have been a blogger for several years, but I found many help strategies and insights in this book. I think the book's greatest strength is the obvious first-hand knowledge of the author. You could tell by the examples and explanations that he has done and IS using the money-making strategies in the book. It's not theory!I also like the focus of the book. If you want to learn how to use wordpress, go somewhere else. This is 100% focused on making money with your blog, which is often forgotten in all of the other blogging info you read!New bloggers will like the no-nonsense, practical, and step-by-step approach the author takes to the information. He has many, many screen shots that allow you to actually do what you're reading right away. More experienced bloggers will certainly be able to find some nuggets that will pay for their purchase many times over. I particularly liked some of the recommendations for plugins and affiliate networks that he made.Anyone serious about starting a blog or making more money with a blog should read this book. I thought this book was very informative. What I liked most was that the author kept his examples simple and easy to understand while still conveying his expertise on the subject.

I enjoyed the conversational no-nonsense style of this writer who covered all the bases with regard to passive blog income. Although I am not new to blogging or PPC, I learned a few things about monetization that I did not know before. I would recommend the book to anyone who is looking to explore this type of endeavor.

Great advice from someone who worked hard to find out what he needed to know to make money blogging. This does not contain ALL of the information you need, but is a great resource. I like that he includes step-by-step instructions for how to set things up.

I'm a beginner at learning to monetize my blog, but after reading this book, I'm definitely ready to get started! The book was very well-written, clear, and contained TONS of helpful information presented in a logical step-by-step way. Bought the e Book .But have to admit waste of time and money. I was hoping to read about blogging .After few pages the direction and purpose of the book changed. It was all about how to write a book and publish it on Amazon for few extra bucks in every month. Messy . Lost interest after reading few pages. I don't know how to put it in to words. But it's one of my worst investment.
