Q: Why is mrs. potato head more expensive than mr. potato head, when they have the exact same dimensions and number of pieces?

The bright colors, particularly the neon-ish pinks of the Mrs., are more expensive to make and are more likely to show variance within a part. Higher production costs = high product costs.

Yes. However, the two I purchased came in clear suitcases, which I'm very happy with. :)

I have B/G twins and often buy a boy version and a girl version of the same toy. It's called the "girl tax". Pretty much anything made for a girl is more expensive; from a .50 price difference to this ridiculous extra 1/3rd of the boy price. Google it.
