Great - toolless install for SSDs in HDD drive bay
Worked perfectly. I used it to move two SSDs that were in different locations in the case, one of which was mounted upside down, hence needing a cable twist, Both SSDs fitted perfectly. The power and SATA connections were perfectly accessible. The handle means you are pushing/pulling on the frame, not the SSDs or their cables.Mine are now mounted in a bay for 3 x 3.5" drives. I bought two, and mounted them easily with the case supplied rubber vibration free mount. YES, I know these are SSD's but most 3.5" drives are HDDs. The upshot is that I needed no tools at all to fix the drives. That was so good I purchased a second, allowing for growth! The case also has space for 4 x 3.5" drives - its a big case! All of which are now accessible easily, without tools, and with all the cables running neatly and untwisted.SUCCESS!

Great adapter at great price
Only have a small case so space in case was tight and needed a 3.5' bay for another piece of hardware. Had a 5.25' bay up top free so decided to use this mounting kit to move the HDD to there. The mounts seem well made and come with mounting screws. Some other reviewers stated that they couldn't get access to the screws to mount the HDD but i didn't experience this, i mounted the mounts in the same orientation as they are shown in the photo and used the top long slot cutouts, which are accessed easily through the large cutout holes on the outside. However if you had to use the holes beneath the slot cutouts for whatever reason i can see that access would be more tricky and so this could be a design flaw in some cases. Once adapters mounted to rails the whole unit easily slid into the 5.25' bay and was then secured with the mounting screws that thread into the tapped holes on the outside if the adapters. Don't over tighten these as you run the risk of stripping the thread as it is only fairly thin metal. Overall a great adapter kit at a great price that has done the job perfectly.

Good product for a clean fit, consider a usb extension or hub instead though
Clean install on my HTPC but took up space for another front fan.In retrospect Id probably use a usb extension cable or hub atop the chassis. This would save cabling internally and improve airflow.Your preference. Cannot fault the product though.

Works well
I have a Dell Optiplex 755 which has 2 internal 3.5inch hard drive bays. I bought this adapter bracket to allow me to mount a 3rd hard drive in a vacant 5.25inch bay.The bracket comes with 2 sets of screws. Attach the bracket to the drive using the 4 'HDD size' screws provided. The bracket then provides 4 screw holes in the standard location for an optical (CD, DVD) drive. Use the 4 'CD size' screws provided to fix everything into the optical drive bay.In the case of my Dell, 5.25in drives are located and slid into position using 3 shoulder screws provided with the PC. These fitted to the bracket without problem (I didn't need the screws supplied with the bracket), and the new hard drive clicked into place and is now up and running. No probs whatsoever.Note that you don't need a bezel to cover the front of the drive, as a 3.5in drive is shorter from back to front compared to a 5.25inch drive, and so will sit happily well back from the existing front panel bezel.Hope this helps

It's "OK" but nothing more!
It fits and the exterior panel looks OK when mounted in a PC chassis but am not "impressed" because it's totally made of plastic and the supplied screws for fitting a hard drive or something else (multimedia inteface/card reader in my case) are not adequate - luckily I had an ample supply of ones that were more suitable!
