The Best of the Best
This is one of theit greatest collections. I've been reading this annual publication for 15 years. Pushcart always has a terrific selection, but this year's fiction and poetry are outstanding. There are hours of terrific reading inside. It's the best of the best.

Also love it because I'm in it
Also love it because I'm in it. Decades of nominations, and finally, the honor. My piece is ABRACADABRA. Cheers, all!

Full of gems
One of my favorite Pushcart anthologies. The stories by Ann Pancake and Elizabeth Kadetsky are utter gems.

The best anthology every year
The yearly Pushcart prize anthology truly is the best of the best. Wish it were more portable - too heavy to lug on a plane or read in bed. On the other hand, it is certainly worth its weight in writing. Just keep it handy, prop it up on a table, and enjoy all year.

Excellent for research of the American Literary market for short stories and poetry
I purchased this 2018 version when I was nominated for a Pushcart prize for a 2019 poem, for the 2020 publication. As well as the lucky 80 writers who got pieces accepted from the 6,000 to 8,000 nominated writers - really strong work, there's a lot of information about the magazines and publications that put nominees forward - which gives me a good source of where quality work is accepted. The contents are largely US authors published in US magazines although the Prize takes nominations from all over the world. It's also useful for considering the cycle of this annual tome - it's a heavy book - physically and intellectually.

I gave this five stars because I love the poetry choices
I gave this five stars because I love the poetry choices. But most of the book by weight and cost is prose so I won't buy it again but will stick with the Best American Poetry series.
