Few know about NasalCrom and it seems as though many stores no longer carry it, but it has changed my quality of life for the better. It was recommended to me by my doctors after treating me for years for what they considered to be pre-asthmatic conditions tied to my allergies. The fact that NasalCrom does not interact with other forms of treatment was a major consideration too. Although the packaging suggests that NasalCrom is potentially a long-term treatment option, I found that after initially getting the results I needed, my allergies did not return after quitting treatment with NasalCrom. I am trying to use fewer antihistamines to cope with my seasonal allergies as a result of recent studies suggesting they may be harmful to me. I has low expectations being that I have tried prescription steroid nasal sprays with little relief, bad taste in mouth that lasts forever and side effects. :( Nasalcrom is a life changer!! I have severe year round allergies and asthma. My doc had me on nasal sprays (dymista, nasonex), singular, inhalers etc. I was miserable 30 days a month every month for YEARS but for the first time ever I have relief! It took about two weeks of consistent use to see a difference but the results are phenomenal. I pair this with my claratin D which I've taken for years but has only helped a little. The combo of the two is great! I was able to stop my steroid sprays and awful singulair and no more itchy miserable red eyed sneezie runny stuffed up allergy nose! This stuff is amazing!Doctors should recommend this before crappy dangerous steroids but they don't. :( I'm glad I decided to try this stuff because it has quite literally changed my quality of life.
