I brought this to line a floor in an outside garden room and I'm pleasantly surprised at the difference it has made.floor feels warmer and softer under foot and the heater i have in there is coming on less. defiantly retaining more heat.Very easy to use. easy to cut where needed.Will get some more if ever i need to.Good value for money.

This is the perfect underlay for wooded floors and so much cheaper than store brought.

So I ordered this product having used it before knowing its quality. Unfortunately Hermes decided to deliver it a day late and to the wrong address. I've tried, but failed to contact the seller as it keeps bumping me between, Amazon handling the package and the seller handling the package. I just want the underlay not the hassle. 😡 hence 4 stars. If someone form the company can call me that would be great. Product ordered on the 29th of April to a newbury address.

This arrives on a roll and is around 5mm thick. It's made from a black foam like mat which is light and lined on one side with what looks like very thin gold foil. The foil side is placed downwards toward the floor and flooring is installed on top of the black side. To be honest I can't comment on it's supposed properties as I have never laid a real wood floor without the material to compare. I I laid this above the original floorboards in my hallway and just tacked it down with tacks every now and then to hold it down and laid the wood flooring above it. It does definetly add a layer of cushion which makes the floor sit more securely and I pressume minimise excess noise that the floor would produce while walking on. It's also very easy to work with a stays down easily.As for value, its very reasoably priced on Amazon, this seems to be quite expensive if purchased from large hardware/DIY stores. Packaged very well and delivered quickly. Recommended.

Perfect product at a good value but we didn't need it at the end so had to return it. Always thought through Amazon returns we didn't need to pay but we had too, surprised by this. Cost me near to £10 return because of the size so buy if you really really need it, otherwise definitely not a good deal if you have to return it.
