Works to shutoff main when water is sensed
I am pretty impressed with this device. I haven't played with all the sotware features and there was a bug in the software that was a little annoying where I could not add aditional when (should be called "if" IMO) conditions to an automation after saving, exiting, and reopening to edit. Just add to delete and start over, but adding my valve and then removing it fixed it for some reason, and it wasn't hard to just make it with all the conditions in the first place. I was able to set it up so all of my sensors will turn of the valve if they sense water. I tested a few of them and the valve closes just fine. This valve doesn't ship with the sensors that have an audible alarm but more can be added later. So far I have 7 sensors all setup. Pretty happy with the product.

I'm impressed!!
I'm impressed. I own two homes in cold climates. One in the coldest place in the nation and the other in western Colorado. I installed Yolink in both of my homes. It's a really simple system. The sensors detect water, they send a signal to the hub and the hub tells the motorized valve to close. I have 9 sensors in each home. I've tested the system numerous times and it closes the valve. No problem. The sensors and the valve are batt operated. It's all connected to my phone. I don't know if the system will work if power goes out to the hub. I have to say tho, programming the sensors is a bit complicated, too complicated IMO but once you get it, you can program them all quickly. I love that, if anything goes down or the valve closes, you get a text and an email. So, a complete system which for me was 9 sensors, a hub and a motorized valve was about USD $450. A plumber is recommended to splice in the valve on your water main. They'll charge you $100-$200 for that simple task. I paid it. It was worth it. I did contact customer service with an issue (Claire) and she were SUPER GREAT, quick and efficient communication. and then she offered me a discount on a second system. I was impressed with the speed in which she communicated. So far, after months, I've had no erroneous glitches or any components go down except save one, the valve went offline but was still functional should the sensor reach out to the hub. I just couldn't open or close it with my phone. The fix was just to cycle the valve one time and it reset it. I highly recommend Yolink. I can rest now knowing that I won't go to my mountain house and find a swimming pool in the basement.

Like the quality feel and ease of battery changing.
Great product, easy to install, and setup.Installed on my main water supply to my home.I also purchased a hub and a number of leak detection units, placing them in the geyser tray, under washing machines and sinks.Makes travelling away from home less of a worry.Automated schedules shut off my water supply to the home and open it on occasions to water plants. If a leak is detected it will shut off the water supply before any major damage or water usage can occur.Batteries are easy to replace and the app is user friendly.

Fantastic system
I had to purchase additional sensors, but this system works great. I put sensors anywhere I might get a leak. Under the sinks, next to the toilets, under the shower s piping, by the hot water heater, Washer, any area you might a leak. They sense a small amount of water, and shut off the water supply. It already picked up a small leak under my kitchen sink, shut off the water, and notified me what sensor activated. Battery life in the sensors is great too. I've had this for over a year, and battery life is still full.Don't wait till it's too late.

Love this thing
Installation was easy and set up was a piece of cake. Placed a couple of sensors under sinks in the house and one in my crawl space. About two months later, got a phone alert that a leak was detected in the crawl space. Sure enough, found water which I tracked down to a dishwasher leak. Caught early for a quick fix vs the damage that could have been done. Literally paid for itself in the first few months with that one find. Ordered 3 more sensors so I now have a sensor in each bathroom. The pairing of the additional sensors could not have been easier. Highly recommend

Home saving protection system
After our home flooded while on vacation from a faulty ice maker filter, I installed this unit and can't say enough about how well it works. It's not only protecting our home from another flood but gives us peace of mind. I installed this myself on the main water line using Shark Bite fittings and it works like a dream. Since installing, we've had a few "trials" to prove how well it works. One was my wife spraying pest control and the other was a few drips from our kitchen sink after the Contractor installed new kitchen plumbing,In both cases, it turned off our main valve and alerted us by text and email messages. It also allows you to turn off the main valve if you're DIY your own plumbing work. This allowed me to observe my work while turning on the water (rather then turning it on down by the street and running back to the house to insure nothing is leaking).Highly recommended!!!

Save yourself a flooding catastrophe at home - Buy THIS!
After I had a whole-house (aka "Big Blue") filter get too old, crack open in the middle of the night and flood the garage, I realized that I needed a solution to shut off the main water (1" line) in the event of another flood. As I already had threaded NPT connections anyway for my whole house filter and water softener, this made it a breeze. I installed and configured it in about an hour total, loaded the app, connected it to Alexa and started monitoring (using the YoLink water detectors and hub). Whenever any of the sensors detects moisture (I placed them under the washer, dishwasher, hot water heater and water softener), it immediately shuts electrically (actually, battery), then sends me a notification on my phone. Brilliant! I can verify what detector went off, then investigate. No more flooding the house.Just as a note I will probably buy more sensors in the future and place them behind/under the toilets.Anyway, highly recommended! Thank you, YoLink!
