Ariete Vaporì Aspira Jet Handheld Steam Cleaner, 0.175 L, 900 Watts, 3 Bar, Yellow

Initially this was a great hand held steam cleaner and I would have given it 5 stars - good steam and effective. However, mine just stopped working after a time. I would guess that all such hand held steam cleaners need demineralised water as hard water eventually affects efficiency or scales them up completely

This is the first steam cleaner we've tried, and we're very impressed. However, I've knocked a star off because this item does not come with a UK plug. The seller we purchased from included an EU -> UK adaptor, however this does not provide an earth, which this appliance should have. Be ready to fit a UK plug, as doing so is much safer and less fiddly in the long run.

I am sure like a lot of people I have used a hand steam cleaner before and not had the best experience - this is the complete opposite to the Ariete Aspira Jet Maj5. I have had a full weekend with this baby and I am very pleased with the performance and quality - you get a full set of attachments so that every room in the home can be cleaned and sanitised - which is reassuring as we have young children. What made the decision right for me was the addition of the detergent function, when you get a stain this is hard to shift having the detergent available is spot onThis is a very powerful tool to have for the home, it is not heavy and it is up to temperature very quicklyThe house not only looks clean it looks great - best decision I have made in a long time - well done Ariete and well done Amazon for the super quick delivery

It arrived with one (neutral) pin on the continental-uk adaptor missing, just a screw floating about and no, it was not in the box! Its 13 amp so shaver socket blew trying it out. Off to shops later for fuse and new continental adaptor and then we will see. Could do without the hassle, nearest shop is 20 miles away.

Well, it lasted for 6 years. I was disappointed in that I only used it a few times a year to defrost a tall freezer. It gradually lost pressure over time and eventually the steam switch just stopped working. All the plastic components wore out I guess. Cannot recommend this product. Does not last the test of time.

only used this twice and really impressed with its performance,only took a short time to master how to use it to best effect.

Have not tested this item yet as it came with no instructions. This item is a Polish import and took a while to arrive. Contacted the seller through Amazon who sent a link to download an instruction sheet. The instructions were so small you would need a microscope to view them. Managed to enlarge the words, which made reading impossible as they were completely out of focus. If and when I manage to get this steam cleaner operating successfully I will re-submit a review.
