Why are customers saying the only received 12 bars, what is the total number of bars supplied ?

It seems that the code is mixed up with a single pack and 12 packs. It’s not possible to supply these at the lower prices. Amazon should withdraw the code. There are lots like this on Amazon.

It was 12 bars two packs total rip off you can buy two backs for 3.98 from most shops

I don't know but this is a scam. You only get 1 pack of 6 bars, not 12 like it says
