What do letters UNOAERRE on back of miraculous medal mean?

Is that not just the hallmark of the jewel? as the only thing on the back of the pendant is a cross representing the passion and earth over the letter M surrounded by 12 stars and 2 hearts pierced with a sword for Our lady’s sorrowful heart.

Is the medal sterling silver?

Yes. The one I bought is silver sterling. More importantly, there are many counterfeit medals around and this is definitely in compliance with the genuine medal. With the two stars on top either side of the tip of the cross and not directly above. Wear it with faith.
