This looks very nice very old traditional style. It seems to be well made but as others have said there is a slight "wobble" in that the top lid doesnt sit flush. This is because the bottom tray curves upwards as you can see in the photos so its not really possible. On mine the wobble is very slight so its really hard to notice I probably wouldnt have if it wasnt for reading the reviews here.Other than that yes, its not really fit for a full size UK butter but I dont think any are. I have another butter dish that doesnt fit I just use a very simple method of cutting the butter in half length ways and it fits fine so no big issue there either.Its very well priced in my opinion and I love how it looks so I dont see any reason to knock a star off for anything.

This is such a beautifully made butter dish that would complement any kitchen or dining table. I am so happy with this product and would highly recommend it. Keeps the butter soft and fresh. So easy to keep clean and it is the perfect weight.

Love the look of this butter dish, unfortunately it's not fit for purpose. The lid is wonky/doesn't sit right on the base and even the smallest pack of butter shops sell doesn't even fit properly.To return this is nearly 3 quid ie it will now be taken to a charity shop where, someone else will probably get a bargain for less than a quid.
