Moonphase
I've always wanted to own a moonphase watch now I have one. I always thought that moonphase watches were a am and pm watch how wrong was I anyway I had my watch for a few day's and the moon didn't move so I thought it mustn't be working this is where I found I was wrong about it being a AM and PM watch I googled the moonphase watch apparently moonphase watches are to be set with the movement of the moon literally and google said it can be day's before the moon will move on your watch and that the moonphase is not broken he also mentioned that in moonphase watches there is a separate gear movements for the moonphase seperate from the watch movement that keeps time anyway after four day's the moon moved an eighth of an inch. It is quite complicated to set a moonphase watch but that has not put me off from keeping the watch and I still love it,had the watch for a while now and the moon has moved right across its window so this man on google was right that the watch is not broken. Don't be put off buying a moonphase watch if you don't know how to set them up they are lovely watches to own and this sekonda has a date and day of the week using sub-dials I give this watch full marks

Classic!
Great addition. Good quality leather strap and nicely weighted watch with mid-large face. Great addition with moonphase cycle!

Nice Time
A very nice watch for the price, stylish, good quality strap and a nice watch face, only negative the silver of the hands and the white watch face makes it difficult to see the time in some lights.

Lovely watch
Had it for a month now. Excellent watch and looks great.

Instructions vivid.
The watch is brilliant but the instructions are not adequate and I'm unable to get a better set instructions on how to set the moon based movement.

Lovely watch, easy to read, excellent timekeeping and some good features
I have quite a few watches, some more attractive than others, some easier to read than others, some overloaded with features, but for me, Sekonda manage to get the best balance of smart, classic style, good features and easy to read dials. You get all that with this not particularly imaginatively named 30147 model, but what you can also rely on here is the accuracy of the time-keeping, something that I can't say about all my more expensive watches, so in that respect it's great value as well. There are silver, gold and rose gold options for this model, with brown or black straps. I went for the classic gold with black strap, but I think the brown leather might have worked even better with the gold and the black with the silver - but straps can be changed and I might do that when it wears down. Or you might want a new strap sooner if you don't have a slender wrist, as I have to use the lowest notch myself on the strap here. The watch face is white and the reflective roman numerals and hands stand out clearly, making the time easy to read. The additional features are small but useful if you don't have a phone handy, one miniature dial showing the day, the other the date. This might need manually adjusted I imagine depending on how many days there are in the month. Whether you find it useful or not, I like the moon phase feature. It's certainly better than the watch I have that tells you whether it's daytime (sun) or night-time (moon). For the time I have been wearing it, the watch appears to keep accurate time, never going fast or slow. The instructions are accessible using a QR code and easy to follow. There is not much to work out, the A-B-C, clockwise or anti-clockwise settings of the winding crown allowing you to set this up, but you might need to save the link in case you need to make further adjustments to get that moon-phase right and keep on top of the date changes in the month. This is a lovely slim, light watch, very smart, great timekeeping and as such, exceptionally good value.

Smart, stylish and with a presence, albeit a positively understated one
This is a really lovely looking, smart and stylish watch, that, by virtue of its small footprint, also feels like it has an understated presence, bucking the trend of big and bulky that seems to be the current trend. Genuine deep dark brown leather strap and a watch face that is extreme clear and easy to read.Arriving in a stylish gift box, you are greeted with a rather smart and stylish looking watch, enclosed around a small 'pillow'. Also attached is a little label that on one side you can scan for online instructions and on the other is for the retailer stamp for the 2 year warranty. It has a lovely looking watch face, with lovely presence and with a dark brown real leather strap, gold coloured stainless steel buckle. The watch face has a gold trim and is c.40mm is diameter. Glass too. The leather strap is both genuine leather and Sekonda branded and the watch itself is very comfortable to wear - no irritation. The watch is presented with a silver face and gold dials, along with gold Roman numerals to represent the hours of the day. Additionally, there are 3 sub dials on the watch face - days of the week, dates of the month (from 1-31, odd numbers only) and moonphase which tracks the moon through a 29.5 day lunar cycle, printed moons and stars. The watch display also advises that it can handle up to 50 metres water resistance. Also, the ticking is so quiet, you (I) can’t actually hear it. That’s quality !!Amending the time/date/date are all straight forward - one push/pull button, with 3 different positions. Adjusting the moonphase takes the longest, but it is adjustable- moon, moon etc, all using middle position !! The biggest challenge is trying to ‘guess’ correctly which part of the moonphase we are in, especially if you’re not setting it during full or half moon. In motion, it moves clockwise.Overall, this is a really lovely looking, smart and stylish watch. Suited for many occasions - formal and informal, it does have a presence albeit a positively understated one. Those looking for something big and bulky, look away. Especially considering it’s size and that it has a weight of only 45g including the strap. The leather strap is genuine (20mm/18mm), Sekonda branded too and this is a watch face that is extreme clear and easy to read.I hope you found this review helpful.
