Q: Hi, do you have a pdf of the installation instruction, i'd like to know how it's recommended to be mounted and also the mounting bolt pattern?

Never got one, but on the other hand is straight forward, you can only go wrong one way and right the other way when you fit the boom on the mast, no other options. Even LEGO is more complicated than this.

base to joint about 1600 mm, arms lenght about 1000 from joint, total arm out about 1500mm from joint. total height full arm extended is about 2200... minimum weight total height arm retracted is about 1700... maximum weight is tucked in a box in my van, so I aproximated out of my memory.

Q: One review says cable rolls when no power, yet spec says winch has brake does it or doesn't it

I wrote that review, it does roll, but I discovered a knob on the motor that if tightened than the brakes actually works, not exceptionally, but it helps. There was noting about it on the documentation.
