Price is steep quality is amazing
This is a very solid tent. I purchased it in 2016 and until this day it is holding up, no leaks, no condensation, and definitely windproof. I’ve been through numerous storms and it has kept us dry every time. I did buy this for 235.00 back in 2016; I would definitely not pay 400+.

The Bunker
The BunkerI purchased this tent as I wanted a high quality tent but was tired of all the brightly colored tents from other manufacturers. Wanted something that could stand up to adverse conditions as well.Tent comes in a very nice stuff sack with compression straps. Inside is the tent, bag with nice Al poles, bag with tent pegs and a bag with a repair kit. Nice packaging! The tent is a fly first setup with color coded poles, black and green. There is a green tag on the sleeve the green tagged pole slips into. Getting the inner tent portion is a bit of a struggle the first time. Have to figure out if it's the right way before you start putting the little pegs through the loops due to the dual doors. Best to set it up at home before trying to set up in the dark at some campsite.I just leave mine connected LOL so all I have to do is insert the poles. So far it seems to be working out fine. There is no footprint listed, so I bought some Tyvek and use that for a ground sheet. There are plenty of tie outs, but the tent pegs, while they look nice are substandard for hard ground. Smashed the tops of many of them already. There are 2 doors and three "layers" for each door. The outer fly zips and velcros shut, and there is also a bug screen plus another layer you can zip shut. Cuts down on the breeze and light transmission without buttoning everything up completely. Nice feature! There are peg and loop attachments for each "door" so you can tie each layer out of the way.So far I have only been out in nice conditions so can't comment on adverse weather, but am happy with my purchase.

Great Tent but read this before buying
Now this is a backpack tent, not a tent that you pop right outside your car or you'll be disappointed . Once you have the outer shell you look inside and think yeah that's allot of room. Then once you hook up the iner tent, everything shrinks way down. I'm 5'11" and its a bit snug without a sleeping bag. When you look around inside you can see there's a 8 " to 12" gap from the inner tent and outer tent which sucks up allot of room. But I see why they did this and it makes it nice and warm here in this 37 degree night. It says you can fit 3 people in there which you could do, but make sure it's people you don't mind being extremely close to each other. But you could fit 2 people in ther with 2 bags easly. But again keep inmind this is a compact tent. And the door in a bit small and the whole tent sits low to the ground which I like. Now the only reason I am give this a 4 star rating is because I wish it had the pockets inside the inner tent like the scorpion 3. And also I wish there was zipper openings in the inner tent where the vent lines up because if I'm sleeping at night and I had the vents open and it starts to rain the last thing I want to do is step outside the tent to zip them up when I could just zip them from the inside. All in all this is a good tent for your backpacking adventure.

Stealth tent
This Bunker tent is worth every penny. I don't stealth camp but if i did i would choose this tent every time. It mimics the shape of a rock in the woods (the second photo is a rock in the woods) the door opening has an inviting quality to it and mimics the shape of the space between the roots of a tree. The smaller size opening did not detract from the tent experience in any way and seemed fitting for a green tent called Bunker.1.The opposing doors allowed great air flow.2.The darkness inside combined with the draped shape of dark cloth overhead lulls one to sleep easily.3. (Con) It is very difficult to gauge the time of day or night from inside the tent.4. (Con) i needed to put a bright doohicky on the inside zippers of the doors or else i would never be able to get out of the tent in a hurry due to not being able to find the doors.5. (Con) black inner tent, black clips, nothing for the eye to orient on when clipping it to the fly. I fixed this issue by adding small pieces of coloured electrical tape .. pairing the door clips with the door loops. Now i don't even have to think when pitching this tent.6. This tent is ridiculously easy to pitch, it can be easily done in a zero light situation, by feel alone. (On the condition that you get the first two door hooks in the right place)*Most people don't read instructions so i will say this... hooks first, clips last =easy set up. Clips first, hooks last= yoga contortionist.Lastly this is not a 3 person tent. 2 is perfect.

High quality , not three person
I looked at a few tents before picking up the Snugpak bunker. The build quality on this tent is very good. The size of the tent is a little small and after spending the night in the bunker I think two people with packs and gear will be a tight fit. This tent is very easy to set up and seemed very stable. Outside temp was in the low 30's and I had no condensation on the inner walls but had a nice layer of frost on the outer fly. The low profile and small doors does make entrance and exit a little difficult but really not too bad. Headroom is adequate for general tasks. The side walls are extremely thin and the side pockets are attached to the walls in a way that causes any weight in the side pockets to pull down the wall. I think I will add a light weight net bag to the hook fastener that is on the top of the larger wall so that I have a place to securely store my glasses.Overall I really like this tent and am looking forward to many great nights.
