I LOVE IT !!
I'm a water fitness teacher, as well as a yoga teacher, and this is MY favorite flotation belt. It's squishy enough that it really conforms to my shape, and it doesn't ride up on me. A reminder, though, if you're shopping for a belt-- try various ones out, if possible, before you purchase. I know they're hard to find in stores, but if you go to a class, see if you can test-drive a few different types of belts & flotation devices. Each person has a different body shape, and a different level of natural buoyancy. My WaterGym belt is perfect for ME-- I'm slender, very strong and flexible, a lifeguard and an excellent swimmer (I'll be 65 on my next birthday). A woman attending my class purchased one before I did-- she raved about her WaterGym belt, and I tried it out, and immediately ordered one from Amazon. I'm IN LOVE.If you are needing significant flotation assistance, you may want to try a belt that offers more foam-- more buoyancy. If you are uncomfortable with anything around your waist, I recommend you try therapy foam cuffs around your upper arms. The key is experimentation. Water exercise is perhaps the most effective and versatile exercise on the planet, and suitable for everyone from athletes to those just fresh out of therapy. And.... if you sweat, you don't have to know about it! Don't give up-- find what works for you, and give yourself LOVE by exercising in the water. You just might see me there enjoying the heck out of my WaterGym belt!

Perfect for deep water aqua classes
Updated: I have been using this belt for one year now and it is still in perfect condition. My weight has significantly changed thru Weight Watchers, and at 140lbs, I can still use this belt. I am able to tighten the belt, but now it almost fits end touching end. However, I have noticed that most of the other people taking the water class are higher in the water than I am. My neck and head are the only things above the water if I don't use my hands to keep myself higher up. I use my hands, with aqua gloves, to dispel the water and raise my body up by moving my hands back and forth. That is a little bit annoying for me, but I am not sure that it's the belts problem and not something that I am doing different than everyone else. It does make me concentrate more on my core as I tried to stay up straight and more out of the water. This is the same belt they offer at my gym. So, it is the same one that all the other people are wearing as well.Previous review: Excellent band. I bought a small and am 5'3 170lbs. This is the exact ones my pool offers us to use but I wanted my own so could keep the band set where I need it to fit well. This is so well made and feels like it will last forever.

the best water flotation belt
This is, without a doubt, the best water flotation belt. I have both the aqua jogger and the water gear aqua jogger belt and both were uncomfortable and rode up my back as my workout progressed so I had to stop multiple times to adjust. The belt on the water gym device has a slight stretch to it so it fits, breaths with you and stays in place for my 50 minute routine. There is no extraneous material to get in the way of your movements. I'm so glad I finally found a comfortable belt - makes a tremendous difference in my workout.

Needs a better strap
The belt is great, but the strap does not hold unless I tuck it into the belt. If I comes out during my aqua-fitness class, the strap won't hold the belt tightly. I might look around for a better strap because there's nothing wrong with the rubber part.

My Second Purchase!
I ordered my first one in large. After a year or so of water fitness classes, I reordered in a small. I love this float belt. It is very comfortable, I often forget I have it on! With the elastic belt you can adjust it and it stays where you put it! If you are committed to Water Fitness and you want to concentrate on doing some of the suspension exercises correctly instead of just trying to stay afloat, you will love this!

Good for jogging in pool
Works well except it’s difficult to make it small enough so that it remains across waist area and then keep the excess strap intact

Love this water belt
Love this water belt! The belts that were available for use at our pool were so poor in quality that I did some research to find a good quality belt to use when doing water aerobics. This belt came out on top in my research and I'm very pleased with it. My husband also purchased one. The size small was great for me (5'4" - size 12) and he ordered a M/L as suggested for men. He is also pleased with the belt. The WaterGym website has great resources and videos of exercises to support your aerobics workouts. I think you'd be pleased with the quality and comfortable feeling of this water belt!

Five stars
The elastic strap lost its elasticity almost immediately. My BIG mistake! My belt was stored in someone else's locker and hers in mine. We weren't at the pool at the same time and I didn't even think that the belt I was using wasn't mine. Suzanne at Water Gym was very helpful and had sent me a new belt before I discovered the error, which definitely wasn't Water Gym's error. So. Apologies all around. Thank you, Suzanne. Barbara
