READ BEFORE BUYING. Important instructions.
I bought 2 litres of this product and used it in my Safari Storme's 5-speed manual transmission that uses synchronizers on all 5 gears. After using this product for 1 week, the gear shifts became a lot easier during cold-start at mornings, however a little bit notchy gear engagement at cold as well as running temperatures, which leads me to believe that there's a problem with the synchronizers as GL4+ is being too slippery like GL5 doesn't properly stick to the synchros. I did some research online and found that every GL4+ (GL4/GL5) rated gear oil has atleast 50% of the sulphur/phosphorus EP additives of GL5. As you know, GL5 should never be used in a manual transmission beacuse the EP (Extreme Pressure) additives corrodes the synchronizers, I personally believe that even though GL4+ has atleast 50% of the EP additives, its still harmful for manual gearboxes. If you care about the longevity of your gearbox please avoid it and try to find a 75W-90 synthetic or semi-synthetic that is purely GL4 rated. You can find them from Redline, Pennzoil or Motul. The fully synthetic ones like Redline MT90, Pennzoil, Ravenol are imported products and though costly, will easily run for the next 1,00,000 kms. GL4+ and GL5 rated gear oils are strictly for rear differentials (rear axles) where hypoid gears are present and contains no synchronizers. Any gear oil that has EP additives is always bad for the synchronizers present in manual gearboxes.

Perfect for the rear differential of a BMW F30
My BMW F30 had done 50K Kms so it was time to change the rear differential fluid. This is a perfect fully synthetic GL-4 fluid that meets and exceeds the rated BMW fluid specifications. Recommended.
