why is this tea so awful awful awful bitter? it's undrinkable. i'm very disappointed.

poor brewing skills do you boil the tea? take it easy brew at about 175 F / 80 C 3 to more like 5 min ...

Has anyone "washed" these leaves? @ a tea house, they steeped 1st a few seconds, dumped 1st batch, then steeped again. No bitterness at all!

When I ordered this type of tea it was in a tea bag. A friend of mine ordered the leaves and she soaked them in cold water for a minute. she said that they were still horribly bitter. she tried soaking them in a warm water for two minutes, then she boiled and made a tea, she said it wasn't too bitter after that.
