Behlen Country ST214 Shallow Galvanized Steel Round End Stock Tank, Approximately 49 Gallons

Replacing my 20 y/o Behlen water trough. I have 2, 150lb. German Shepards and they drink like horses...plus the trough only being 12" high, they can wade if they choose on a hot day.Note: all of my GSD's have lived 13+ so this is perfectly fine for water (or ya---a big beer tub)WITH THAT BEING SAID...you will notice the water "cloudy" the first week or so. This is the leeching of the glue. While not that harmful I highly suggest rinsing it out a FEW TIMES after 2 or 3 days EACH.TO EMPTY: just cut a 6 foot peice of hose, completely submerge it in the tub, take one end out (while the other is still under water) and lay the one end on the ground. After about 1/2 hour you will be able to tip the trough with ease :)

I was changing from a 18 to 5 foot garden in the yard, to this, because of knee and back problems.I didn't want something to put on top of grass in the yard, and fight weeding again.After drilling drainage holes in the bottom, filled it up with my favorite garden soil and cedar mulch.I planted only 2 tomato plants, 1 pepper plant, cucumber, lettuce and spinach.The 2 tomato plants grew to 7 feet tall, bigger than any cage of stick I had !!I think I will get another for next year !! I LOVE IT !!

I use these as planters in my garden. I drilled a few holes in the bottom and now they work great. I have 4 of them. I started with one and have bought an additional one every year. They are all holding up great.I will say that the tubs shipped out with no box. My kids called me at work and told me it was on the porch. Arrived home and Amazon had just slapped a sticker on the side and shipped it. It wasn't scratched or messed up, but my urban neighbors sure looked at this country girl pretty strangely when I was dragging it throough the house to my back yard. And that sticker was a *^$#%& to get off that tub. After a year, part of it is still stuck to the tub.

I would give these five stars except that the quality is VERY inconsistent. Some have unsealed seams. I have purchased several, and all of them vary in size from the others--some by several inches in length or width! Some of the stickers are IMPOSSIBLE to remove. And sometimes they arrive with dents from shipping.But I love them as raised gardens/large planters--I have more than a dozen Behlen stock tanks in three sizes in my tiny backyard. I drill holes; line the bottom with window screen; add a few inches of gravel; then add a garden soil mix. The yield is several times what it would be in my clay KCMO soil, and they are easy to keep free of weeds and critters. I've planted veggies, berries, herbs, and flowers.

I used the tank for a raised garden bed and I really think this Behlen tank is well made and should last for many years to come. I drilled holes in the bottom and I painted mine on the outside with house paint. Looks beautiful! This is made with a fairly heavy-gauge material so it did not seem flimsy in the slightest. The stickers came off better than expected. I used a product called "Goof Off" that worked easily to quickly remove any remaining adhesive residue. I think these would be wonderful as a true stock tank or whatever. Highly recommend. Mine shipped with no box, but was in great shape on arrival.

This is heavy, sturdy steel, and hard to bend. I can't get the big dent out of it. If shipping weren't a pain, I'd send it back.It's for growing strawberries, once we drill holes in the bottom.Other than the cosmetic annoyance, it is everything described by the seller. It is also watertight.

LOVE LOVE LOVE This. Been talking about one of these for years after seeing at a restaurant. Finally my herbs are separate from my vegetables. I love it because it keeps it raised but not too raised for my liking. I have it on a walkway to our backyard and it sits on the rocks. I love the look and use of it. I have oregano, parsley, cilantro, dill, eucalyptus, and cat nip. Plenty of room for more. However, I keep my rosemary and lavender big so put them in separate pots along with mint that grows like crazy so I have to keep it contained. Highly recommend this. Great price and free shipping.

Horrible.!!!!!This product has multiple leaks. The finish work inside looks like something a child would have done. For the money I spent I expected a product that I could use, not something I have to spend time fixing. Very unsastified.!!!!And ZERO STARS.! But I couldn't post with Zero stars
