An Excellent Read
Although I have read many books on finance, stock markets and related subjects, I haven't come across any book written on the mistakes by the experts of stock market. On the success stories of experts you will find a number of books, but not on mistakes by them. And to me it appears that learning from the mistakes of others, here in this case the market experts, is the easiest and smartest way to gain experience and exposure. The questions asked to each of the experts is very much pertinent and relevant, almost every budding or expert investors have those questions in their mind, the answer to which they are looking for. The book covers almost the entire who's who of the financial markets, and you get know and understand a wide range of opinions and approaches to the same situations. By the time you reach the last chapter, you feel that your investment thesis has evolved and enriched in a big way. The writing is lucid and you will find the chapters are somewhat linked to each other. All in all an excellent read!

MUST READ FOR ALL INVESTORS
One of the best learnings I ever had from the veterans of the Indian Stock Market. The concept of learning from both errors of omission and errors of commission was very helpful insight as an investor. I personally loved the learnings from SP Mittal Sir, though I knew about him because of his Sons & Screener but his own life and learnings actually helped me to understand why Ayush Mittal, Pratush Mittal and Screener altogether are a Success. Thanks to Safir Sir for bringing so much wisdom to us and in his conclusion chapter he answered all my questions that I always wanted to ask him personally but couldn't ask. Thanks again!

Mile wide and an inch deep
Buy any stock market book at random, you’ll get more out of it. The book is a mile wide and an inch deep. No actionable information/insights. Too much conventional gyaan. Written in essay form - praising the wizards - and little to no real stock picking wisdom. Everything is too generic.

A Must-Read for Every Investor – Insightful & Inspiring!
Confessions of a Stock Market Wizard is more than just a collection of interviews; it’s a treasure trove of investment wisdom. Author masterfully distills the strategies, philosophies, and journeys of 26 market wizards, offering invaluable insights into the world of investing. One of the book’s key takeaways is that there is no single path to success in the stock market. Different strategies can yield strong results, but patience, consistency, and long-term thinking are essential. The emphasis on risk management, asset allocation, and diversification makes this a must-read for investors looking to preserve and grow their capital.Beyond technical expertise, the book highlights the psychological aspects of investing—discipline, resilience, and emotional intelligence. It underscores how failures can be stepping stones to growth and why adaptability and continuous learning are crucial traits of successful investors. This book is an inspiring and educational read for anyone in the investing world. I highly recommend it!

Safir Sir and his intent behind this book in preface
Exciting reading and enriching learning experience indeed. So much of content putting 26 legends experience in 1 book + the author himself.Finished only 2 chapters and realising price of the book is cheap against what Safir Ji has covered in the book.Must acknowledge the effort of an author to bring this in one book for us.

A strictly mediocre read
This book serves as a decent introductory read for someone just stepping into the investment arena, but it falls short for anyone looking for meaningful insights. The content remains fairly basic, making it more suitable for someone taking their first steps into investing.Since the book primarily consists of excerpts from the investment journeys of seasoned Indian investors. it had the potential to make for a compelling read, but unfortunately, the execution is mediocre. The storytelling is weak, failing to bring out the depth of experiences and lessons that could have been invaluable to readers. For experienced investors or those seeking a deeper understanding of market dynamics or behavioral finance, this book doesn’t offer much. There’s a noticeable lack of fresh perspectives or in-depth analysis. Given the vast amount of literature available on investing—both global and India-specific—there are certainly better alternatives. That said, if you're entirely new to investing, this book can be a decent starting point. But for anyone beyond the novice stage, it’s unlikely to add much value.

Most valuable book for Indian Investors
I bought this book few weeks back. So far it seems like the one of the most important books of my investment journey. I have read Warren Buffet, Charlie Munger, Peter Lynch, Peter cundill and many more. They are all great and necessary but Indian Markets I believe are quite different, studying the success stories and mistakes of successfully Indian investors can super charge your journey like no other. Honestly I admit that I found many new heroes through this book.Very beautifully written by Safir, Its a piece of Marvel. I suggest all serious investors to read this book. Its very very hard to find any book like this about Indian investors.
