It can Be used for either. The critical measurement is the outside diameter. Measure your pulley in Millimeters and buy one that matches. The Dayco 89016 is 76mm, the dayco 89048 is 90mm. Ford 1999 F150 4.6l with AC uses the 89016 on the tensioner assembly, and the 89048 as the idler pulley.

Will it fit accord 2006 base 4 cyls?

Yes-- I used it on my 2006 Accord, 4 cyl. It goes on the tensioner-- as long as your tensioner is ok, this can be used to replace the pulley. These are a common failure item.'

Is this part only the pulley or is it the whole tensioner?
