Q: Where is this compass made? Is this model from China or Sweden?

I wrote to the manufacturer and they confirmed all compasses made since 2018 are Chinese. Comparing them to vintage Swedish made models, they are noticeably lower quality. Silva has 100% sold out their brand.

The Silva Ranger 2.0 measures when it is open it is 8 inches long 2.5 wide. It closes to be around 4 inches, it may be 4.25 due to the over lap. Thank you, Best Glide Customer Service

Q: Is the luminous 'weak-thin' on the north-needle on yours as it is on mine? All the other luminous markings are bright.
