Nice hat but it smelled terrible coming out of the package. I have had it for 5 days and have been airing it out since, the stale smell has not dissipated at all. I’m not sure it will even fade over time. If shopping in person I would not have bought it.

I have the Wallaroo Hat Company Men’s Carter Fedora in tan and it's totally packable. You can roll it up or crush it flat and it come back to shape without fuss. Once you pack this hat, it looks like it has been packed. You can get it back in shape, but, it takes some fuss. I don't mind it looking a bit rumpled so it works for me.

I am bald and recently was treated for some skin cancer on my ear so sun protection is even more important for me now than ever. This hat fits well and travelled reasonably well overseas with me. It doesn't exactly fold and unfold without some creases and a deformed brim but it responds well to a warm iron. I like the hat very much and have received several complements about its look over the past couple of months. My hat size is 7 1/8 to 7 1/4 and a Medium fit me very well.

Normally I am unable to wear a hat but decided to try this one on my moms recommendation. I live in high altitude so sun protection is important. This hat is comfortable, and the string keeps it from blowing off. Great sun protection and delighted to be able to purchase on Amazon.

I bought this because it was a packable hat, but the brim was so floppy it wouldn't hold it's shape. Returned for a different model that is also packable, but states the brim keeps its shape.

Completely crushable and packable. Can be reasonably reshaped. Still working to keep the brim “perfectly” shaped, but there’s a tiny wire in the end that helps. Sides can be rolled up a bit, front can be dipped down a bit. Could be closer to a cowboy hat or a fedora, depending on how you shape it. Lightweight. I have a GIANT head, size 8, and the XXL fits perfectly. The draw string isn’t for me but some might like it. I easily removed by just untying it. This hat will be in every bag I pack until it falls apart…then I’ll buy another one.
