Another satisfied customer.
I was already familiar Miracle-Gro and I am very satisfied with my potting soil. I received it ahead of time and I'm so pleased to have it delivered.

Always my first choice
This is a reliable and nutrient-rich soil blend designed to support the healthy growth of container plants, flowers, vegetables, shrubs, annuals, and perennials. Enriched with plant food that feeds for up to six months, it promotes strong root development and vibrant blooms while retaining moisture effectively. The mix is lightweight and well-aerated, helping prevent soil compaction and root rot. While it works well for most potted plants, some users report occasional fungus gnat issues, so proper storage and watering practices are recommended. Overall, this potting mix is a convenient and effective choice for both beginner and experienced gardeners looking to boost plant health and growth, which is why it is my go-to mix.

Does its job
Does its job. I let it sit out a bit and then I add cinnamon to kill off any potential Nat eggs or other buggies

Delivery
I ordered this product a couple of years ago. It's exactly as described and for its purpose.I didn't remember that it came from PA.Keep this in mind when ordering.I live in CA, so it took one week for delivery hence just four stars.Otherwise, it's exactly what I wanted.

I bought a double retailed product, good stuff.
So I get home today and see a box with a Lowe's logo on it and I'm thinking, I didn't order anything from Lowe's. I open it up to see it's the potting mix I bought on Amazon. I look at the packing slip to see that I basically paid someone $3 to order it from Lowe's and ship it to my address. That's what I get for being stubborn about buying everything from Amazon. Not complaining really, I just think it's ridiculous.Bought for my indoor herb garden. I found some feral mint and lemon balm growing in my lawn. You couldn't miss the aroma every time I mowed. Problem is my local soil is comprised of mostly fine gravel, sand and other fine particulate, which is terrible for potting. For those of you who have criticized that this mix is mostly peat moss and wood much, the reason they put that stuff in potting mix is that it retains moisture and doesn't become compacted. When a plant is trapped in a clay or plastic container, earthworms can't agitate the soil and it isn't well protected from evaporation, it just makes sense. Obviously, that depends on what type of plant you're growing.I've had a lot of good experience with Miracle-Gro, it's a reliable go-to brand. If you're experiencing issues with gnats, I've got an easy solution for you. Get a pouch of organic pipe tobacco, and use it to make "tobacco tea." Load that up in a spray bottle and liberally mist the soil of any offending planter. It'll take care of quite a few of common pest-insects. I would strongly ask you not to this with outdoor flowering plants though, as nicotine is also poisonous to honey bees, and they're having a hard enough time as it is.Despite being closely related to bees, I've learned that nicotine is totally ineffective against ants and termites.I'm not seeing any flies or gnats in my bag, and it's just the consistency I expected. Haven't yet had the time to use it yet, but I thoroughly expect good results. Mint and lemon balm grows like a weed. That's partly why I want to remove it from my lawn. But rather than killing it I figured I'll gently remove it and keep them contained. There's nothing like fresh mint tea!
