After 3 broken ikea wardrobe metal poles it was time for an upgrade on the pole as the plastic holders broke when the pike didnt! This is a very strong metal pole and I couldn’t flex it at all even when trying to force it. Butnits so easy to fix, it only required 3 screws for the brackets each side (also metal) which I did fine (3rd time using a drill ever so I held bracket where I wanted and used pencil to mark through the holes where to drill). Unlike other poles as one end sits in a “cup” it’s pretty flexible if you are few mm’s out of being level - a hazard in a 1960’s house. Once you have fitted the ends you press studs on pole in to collapse, put the captive larger ring bracket end in first then into the little u shaped “cup” then push the stud in and extend as far as you can until it clicks in a hole. Pole couldn't be knocked out like this and then there is a screw each end that pushes against the pole through the bracket for extra stability.

Very strong pole. Brackets are quite long so the pole is very easy to fit what width you choose. It has a button which fits in the chosen hole so no sawing necessary. Recommended.

Heavy Duty? In what world.Installed 20cm short of the recommended maximum length, added a dozen items and the rail bowed significantly in the middle, especially along the seams.If I hadn't already disposed of the box I would be returning for a full refund.If like me you need a longer rail I suggest you look elsewhere. This is awful.
