Very heavy cast iron, easy to set up and use. Don't let the low price scare you away.
I was quite nervous about purchasing this product, as there were no previous customer reviews here, nor anywhere else. I tried to purchase the Grizzly tenoning jig, twice, but both times I was told that it would be more than a month before it would be available, and I got tired of waiting. I decided to take a chance on this item, as it is half the cost of similar jigs, and it appeared to be about the same in the photos. Well, I am very glad to report that it was worth the money. I was pleasantly surprised when I received the package, how heavy the box was. I was expecting cast aluminum, but it is definitely cast iron throughout. Everything has a coating of thick, heavy machine oil and it appears that it has been in storage for some months, but the oil has prevented any rusting, which is good. It took me about an hour of heavy duty degreaser and some scrubbing to get all the old oil off, but it did come off. I installed two backing boards and did a test run, and I am extremely pleased with the quality of the result. Far, far above the quality of tenons that I was making by holding the boards by hand and pushing them along the rip fence. With a good dial indicator on a magnetic base you can really dial in your tenons to a precise size that you just cannot get with any tenoning jig. Highly recommended.

Quality issues make for a lot of setup work but great tool for the price.
Others have commented on the corrosion inhibitor. Lacquer thinner worked great for tough bits. Several sloppy machining issues. Threaded studs have no chamfer, so easy to cross-thread. Miter slot bar was cut with a chop saw, which deformed the end. Filing required to get it into the slot. Spacer under the t-slot washer was too thin. Had to shim it so the bar would slide. Worst: the sled that carries the workpiece slides on a half-round bar. It was not perpendicular to the miter bar by half a degree or more. This adjustment is not covered in instructions. The bolt holes are loose enough that it can be squared up and tightened. If this isn't perfect, your tenon faces will never parallel the workpiece face. All that said if you are handy and willing to work a bit on minor problems, it is a great deal. The current offerings from other vendors have similar issues, and you have to pay much more! If you can't find a 20 year old jig from a major vendor this is the best option by far. Once set up, operation is as expected.

It would be hard to beat for the money
The jig works very well. It is necessary to check it before each cut because of slight variances in wood. It had gobs of grease on it, which was a pain in the drain to clean off, but also necessary since it is made from ferrous metal that would otherwise rust. It is easy to use and (thankfully) to tweak when needed. I would recommend it to someone experienced in working with jigs. I would not recommend to a novice or an impatient woodworker.

For low cost, a great fixture.
One review said it needed extensive cleaning before use. This was true but nothing a few generous squirts of Goof Off couldn't handle. Once assembled I was amazed and pleased at the accuracy as delivered. Two very slight adjustments to correct perpedicularity and nothing else. Very heavy jig but worth the price and a modest grunt to get it on the table.

This is a GREAT buy.
I have found this jig very useful, but a bit more difficult to set. Maybe just me the more I use it the quicker the dial-in is to complete. Always use test pieces. Couldn't be happier with this purchase. It seems even heavier than General model I had been looking at before I found this one.

Excellent tool for the money!
This is a well made unit. One will appreciate the heft (20 lbs) of this jig. Being made of cast iron, the weight insures stability during the actual cut. Although there are some cosmetic issues, none affect the functionality. This unit was easy to set up and adjust the work face parallel to the miter slot as explained in the instructions. (I adjusted the blade parallel to the slot when I bought the saw in 2005.)

Great tenoning jig
Great tenoning jig. Easy to set up. Good instructions. Very similar to Delta model, but at half the price.I have used this jig to cut 2 dozen tenons and it performed great.
