Exactly what I was hoping for
I bought two of these for my kids (4 & 6) to play with. They are exactly the same as standard water polo balls, only smaller. I also bought a size 0.5, which is easier for my 4-year old to catch. All 3 balls hold air without issues and have the expected surface grip. Brings back memories of high school water polo every time I pick one up. Good for kids Splash Ball class
The ball being used at my six year old’s Splash Ball class was too big for him. His coach let him take this smaller ball to class.

Surprisingly high quality
This is a very nice water-polo ball for kids. It's the official "Splashball" size, and is perfect for pre-teen kids with smaller hands. I looked into one of the many other sizes available, but this size really is fine for bigger kids. It has a very grippy surface when wet. Definitely worth the price.
