After 4 days the unit ceased working. the power cord not only stopped charging but did not power the player. I switched cords with another player and it still did not work. I traded the cord to my other player and it worked fine, at that time I assumed that the player was defective and "TRIED" to contact the email address in the manual and received no response. I continued to try to contact the warranty address for several more days with no response and was completely ignored. If I had not bought this from Amazon I would have been out of luck. I would recommend you not purchase this product. There is no phone number available for this company to contact customer service.It turns out that Apeman was having temporary problems and they explained and apologized. I am well satisfied with this response and also with the product. Things happen to the best of products. Apeman has offered to send me a "code" for a new item.I want to say again I am very well satisfied Apeman's service and product.

I wanted this to play video from my iPod Classic on a bigger display. 5 hr battery is nice and the player is light. Viewing angles are a little narrow but it still looks good enough to make it worth the low cost. $52 is not a bad priced.A/V in and A/V out are good features but I'm only using the A/V in and it does the job.

The picture is clear. I like the controls, a button for each thing instead of trying to have fast forward and volume on one button, etc. However, DVDs don't have sound synced. This is just using the DVD player by itself, not hooking up to another device. The sound syncs fine on my DVD players that i use for TV. I tried turning the memory off of where it is in the DVD, but that doesn't affect it one way or the other. It is synced sometimes, then it falls behind, then it catches up to itself for a few minutes, WEIRD! Now my headphone jack is finicky, and the sound cuts out. This is after owning the device for only 3 days. I thought it was just the headphones but the sound doesn't cut in and out listening to my ipod all day. This is too bulky to ship back and it's not worth me walking 0.8 miles to the nearest UPS store trying to cram it in a box, so I'm just going to use the speakers externally as a CD player as then there is no picture. It is less expensive than most CD players out there so it won't go to waste, but I just reordered a Sylvania DVD player that is more expensive but lasted me just under 4 years. That is the one that I don't like the control design as much but at least it plays properly without lag on sound.

I bought it specifically for our coming trip in Christmas. This is such a relief to let them have a some screen time during the long long ride. I can put it on the storage area in our SUV and simply turn the screen over for the kids in the backseat. The sound quality is good enough for general educational DVD. It’s also very light, and the control panel is very straight forward, even my 5 year old and play dvd by herself. Five stars!

This is our third portable DVD player in a year. (The first two were different brands than this one, which we bought at Walmart for road trips with our toddler.) And, this is by far our favorite. The materials look higher quality. It has a memory for resuming where we left off. Also, it will automatically relay the movie, which keeps our kiddo happy when we're driving. The volume button is on the keyboard, but it can also be controlled from the remote. And, the on/off button is on the side. Oh, and it has a bigger screen and lower cost than the others we've used. We've been using it for several weeks, and have big complaints.Update:I've had this dvd player for just shy of two months, and it out of the blue started acting up. I contacted the manufacturer through Amazon's messages section. And, I received great customer service from Jessica, who offered to send me a replacement unit at no cost to me.

I recently bought this portable dvd player when our other one of a different brand quit working. This one has a bit larger screen than my old one, which I like. The picture is very clear and the sound is great. My picture of the screen doesn't do it justice. It came very well packaged with the charger to plug into the wall, charger for the car, and the AV cable. So far I’ve only used the wall charger and have no immediate plans to use it in the car. But I know it will come in handy the next time a take a road trip. It will also be handy if I have an internet or power outage. It saves your last memory, so it will pick up right where you left off, unless you change discs. It also plays automatically when you put the disc in so there’s no play button on the unit itself. The battery lasts a long time without needing to charge. I haven’t timed it but it’s easily 5 hours. The screen swivels and folds, which is a useful addition.I did have an issue with the audio and video being out of sync. I contacted their email address and received a very prompt response. They have been very courteous and helpful and are sending me a new one right away. Buy with confidence. If there’s a problem with the player you receive, it comes with a one year warranty. Contact them to work it out for you. The customer service is some of the best of experienced. I am extremely happy with this purchase. I have no complaints about this unit.

Very impressed with this DVD player. Just wanted an extra beside the Ipad for my toddler to keep her busy while I was traveling alone with her on a 24-hour long journey. And as I expected, she dropped water on the iPad and it would not switch on anymore. This DVD player was a life saver after that, it played so well without any complications. I charged the battery fully before the trip and the battery is really long lasting. It has a clear picture and very good sound quality. I like to watch movies in this too while I am doing boring house chores and have the portability, to move from room to room. I love how lightweight it is to move around with it. Perfectly compact so it goes easily into luggage or purse. I am glad that it swivels so my toddler doesn't get tempted to push the buttons.I opted to buy this instead of higher priced DVD players which have the same functions, and I am glad I did choose this.
