Secure and solid locking
This is a great system well worth the money, the locks are solid and secure with zero slippage. Setting the locks are a simple process that locks with a secure click.

No ladder should be without! these!! I went looking for a solution.
Honestly, I don't like working on ladders.Wish I'd gotten something like these years ago. These are well made with good engineering and design, a quality product, and stout. The metal these are made of is thicker and stronger than most aluminum extension ladders I've seen and used. A drilling template is included as well as a very good instruction book on how to mount them to your ladder. Also included are some shims for some models of ladders, I didn't need them. Took about 15 easy minutes to install and that includes removing the old feet from the ladder. The vertically pivoting feet are much better, larger, and stronger than those originally on my ladder and while they are just a little "fiddly," (they want to stay level if you want them vertical) once you get them positioned right they set well in the ground. I wasn't using the feet flat on the ground, I was using the points on the ends of the feet to dig in and not slide. A little duct tape held the feet vertically in position while I moved the ladder and the ends went in the ground and they didn't let the ladder move in any direction just like they should. The feet also has holes on both ends to drive stakes though to keep the ladder from slipping if you want to go that route. Well thought out.The retractable legs take just a little getting used to as far as adjusting and resetting, especially resetting, but they aren't terribly difficult to to learn. They lock positively and are very secure. These will noticeably add a little weight to the bottom of the ladder, which in itself is a good thing, but you will not be picking up the ladder form the center when carrying it horizontally. That really isn't a problem and may be better since you are closer to the end to set it up.Used them within two days after they arrived and the ladder was rock solid and plum on uneven ground, a very welcomed first for me. I still don't like working on ladders, but at least it's much safer now and that helped quite a bit. And, in case you're wondering, the price is reasonable for the quality of the product.

A Great Alternative to Falling to Your Death
Ladder levelers are life savers, for sure. The things I used to do to level a ladder before were, well, not up to OSHA standards, let's just say that. These levelers seem a lot sturdier than others I have had in the past, with a more heavy construction and a locking mechanism that cannot be triggered while there is weight on the ladder. Having confidence in equipment like this is of great importance, and the overall aesthetic of these levelers give me that confidence. Are they ACTUALLY better than other brands? That it harder to say. These are a little heavier than any other leveling system I've had, and since I put them on a 32' ladder that was already pretty hefty, I wish they could be a little lighter. They're also more difficult to set in place while holding the ladder with both hands than some other varieties that I have used. Because the legs are spring-loaded, it takes a little more effort to push them down than some other models, and sometimes it is hard to get your foot onto the kick plate. Releasing them can be a bit of a pain, too, because the feet have to be off of the ground. That's a minor issue, most of the time, but there have been a couple times the I almost tipped y ladder over trying to lift and release the extended legs. Also, the range of extension is kind of limited compared to other leveling systems. However, no other system I have used had regular, swiveling ladder feet at the ends, and that was a huge selling point for me. That allows you to spike the feet in grass turf, dirt, or snow. And it has the rubber pads for use on concrete or wood or other hard or flat surfaces. A lot of other types of levelers are only good for some of those types of ground, and these LeveLocks seem to be an all purpose solution.I find that I still need to use other types of levelers for some of my ladders, levelers that can extend further or that are lighter or easier to adjust, but these also have a permanent home in my ladder arsenal because they seem safer and can do some things that others can't. I'd buy them again.
