Excellent product, lighter weight than older style
I purchased this set of whoopie slings to replace a set on one of my double ENO's that one of my son's idiotic friends at college cut with a knife. This set appears to be much lower profile than my original set, and I was immediately concerned with the performance. I am a very muscular, heavy guy - 250 lbs. I always felt secure in my previous setup, which was a full 16th of an inch larger in diameter. However, after getting everything setup, I must say I am very impressed. The thinner diameter makes for a slightly lighter pack weight, and seems to have compromised nothing on the strength.Additionally the tail end is about double the length of my last set giving me an even wider areain which to set up. It included 2 'quick-release' shackles. I am assuming these are meant to loop through the big loop, then over your marlin-spike knot, toggle, or connect via a beaner to your tree huggers. I did not use these, and in my case do not think it is necessary.I simply toss the big loop over my marlin-spike toggle knot (a 3 inch long piece of aluminum arrow shaft), and hopped in. I treaded cautiously at first waiting for everything to stretch out and settle. There was of course a lot of protesting and noise making from the tensioning process. I felt immediately at ease, and did a lot of wiggling around, and some light bouncing. Afterwards, I readjusted, and the lead line just moved a smooth as if it had been greased. My other slings tended to protest this secondary adjustment and required some coaxing. These just immediately let go and let me tighten right up.Installation was very easy, I taped off the small fixed loop to the material i had already threaded through the end of my hammock (said cut slings), and gently pulled into the channel. Then I slid the material over, and pulled it through to the other side. Once I had I firmly in hand, I disconnected the tape, and pulled through the tail end (large loop and adjustment sleeve) through the small fixed loop. That's really it.The adjustment tail hangs down no matter which way I loop over the marlin-spike. It looks like this unexpected bonus should serve as a drip catch to channel rain and pull it toward the ground.

I've paid more for less. I'd buy these again.
Pros Most inexpensive whoopie slings on the intraweps. Work as well as any whoopie slings. Shipped fast and not over packaged.Cons I got the black ones, and they have some kind of coating that comes off on my hands. Reflective material snags easily and creates a rough spots on the surface. Whoopie needs to glide smooth. HUGE knot on the soft shackles. I've made the same size shackle with half the knot, but these work. The coating on the slings looks like light soot on my hands, but it doesn't smell or taste bad, so it probably doesn't cause dain bramage. Just kidding. It smells really weird, but it washes off easily.I've paid more for less. I'd buy these again.

Sturdy
This was my first time experimenting with whoopie slings, so this review comes from a newbie. Most important fact- they truly do hold well. It took me a minute to get them installed on my gathered end hammock. There weren't really any directions included- just a card with pics of what was in the package. I YouTubed a video to figure it out, and still had a tough time with the first one. The second one was much easier-(learning curve I guess). They can be a bit hard to adjust( loosen) if there is any weight on them. I do wish there was a bead installed on the adjustable loop, as I almost accidentally pulled mine all the way through. The product works as it should. I just think a few mods would make it better. Maybe more experience would make them seem easier for me to use and adjust properly.

well today my first time hanging the hammock with these ...
well today my first time hanging the hammock with these, I did a major mess up I had a hold of the tail end (not knowing) and as I was stretching the hammock pulled the loop out. So the velcro straps that hold line together should be in the loop so as not to pull out and make it non working. This was my fault and not the makers other end worked as it should. Makes adjusting easier.

One of the greatest investments I've made for my hammock setup
One of the greatest investments I've made for my hammock setup. Quality of slings are as expected. Easy setup and takedown and cuts the weight of my hammock setup by a few ounces. I had my friend and I on my hammock that exeed 300lbs and no slippage of the line was noticable. Holds up very well. I don't use the shackles because I find carabiner to be faster but great product.

Cheapest whoopies I've ever seen!!!!!!!!!! Do not waste your money!!!!
Do yourself a favor and either make them yourself, or get them from a cottage hammock business like Dutchwaregear or Hammock Gear and get the real deal, these are over priced and cheaply made. I've gotten the 2mm & 4mm and both frayed horribly even with proper use. The 2mm whoopies have lasted longer and are in better shape after more use than the 4 mm pair I have. I actually took the 2mm pair off of my cheap hammock and replaced the 4mm pair on my Henessy with them. The 4mm pair is frayed, stressed and the reflective material is coming out which is bringing the "UHMWPE" with it. These might be ok, but if you do any kind of serious hammock camping or hiking I would DEFINETLY avoid these!!!!!! I hang every night at home and always on the trail, I'll never use these again for hanging. The whoopies that came on my Warbonnet XLC & Ridgerunner and the ones I ordered from Dutch, Hammock Gear and Myerstech have a completely different feel and texture. These feel almost plastic like and have very loose threads, whereas the others actually feel like Amsteel and are tightly woven.

Reflective!
This is my first time using whoopie slings. They seem great and an added bonus was that they have a reflective thread making my hammock suspension easy to see or find in the dark. I'm not using the soft shackles, because a carabiner is quicker for me when using a bugnet. One challenge with whoopie slings, and I believe this is for any setup not particular to this brand, is that the minimum hang distance is increased, so if tree selection isn't ideal, you may have the slings all the way tightened especially if your tree saver straps are long but not long enough to go around twice.
