When I was in Florida I seen one at least 10-12 ft tall, maybe the same wide it must have been old. Only had like 3-4 fruits on it. Mine I planted 2 years ago is about 2.5 ft tall in a pot but in winter I bring it inside.

How can I plant the pad?

hi, i went from the bottom which is the end usually cut from the main cactus and sew that part of the cactus about 2 to 3 inches in a well draining soil.this is my first and i have had mine 6 months and i now have 2 new little pads about6 inches long.Good luck.

do they have those small glochids that get stuck in your hands when handling?

Those that are sent have been buffed lightly and no glochids are on them. I plant mine and they have one or two small additional pads on most of those that I've planted. I'm sure those will develop glochids later but none are showing yet.
