You have a 16v and 12v outlet on the back the 16v is for the track, but you still need a transformer for it if you buy it, saying that mine works well and have no complaints, good luck.

I have a two track layout so I use one outlet for each run , also I use one 12v outlet for my points and one 12v outlet to a 3 / 5v transformer for all my light etc, hope this may help.
