KitchenAid 9 and 12-Cup Food Processor Standard Mouth Work Bowl Cover

glad I was able to purchase a replacement lid for my KitchenAid processor - I have an older model that has been discontinued

Amazon will ikely not let this be posted b/c they don't like neg reviews but KitchenAid is at fault here for not making their replacement work bowl for food processor KFP740 fit the "old" cover. That was my first problem causing me to order this replacement lid which is beautiful so no problems there. It fits the replacement work bowl so no leakage however, the "old" food pusher doesn't fit the new cover and I just can't help but believe the millimeter or less difference in these parts was purposely designed by KitchenAid to require a customer to have to replace all three parts (very expensive!) rather than just the one they need. So KitchenAid should be ashamed and if they read this they need to send me a free food pusher. Just know if you need one of the three parts for an older machine (mine is maybe 7 years old?) you'll have to buy all 3

Got it, verified that it fit the work bowl, and put it away for next use. Got it out for use and found out that the original pusher tube wouldn't work. Ordered a new pusher tube. It doesn't fit either! By the time we find out, the return window has closed. Looks like we have a useless part for good now....

Same issue for me on the pusher. The design change KitchenAid made in 2009 (leaving the part number the same, of course) does not allow the old pusher to fit in the new work bowl cover. You have to get a new pusher if you replace the work bowl cover. Fortunately, KitchenAid was gracious enough to send me the replacement [new] pusher free of charge when I explained this to them.

I liked it, just need something to push to food down to get it into the processor. But overall works great.

Was very pleased to replace this part as I had the entire set which would have been useless without the kid.

I thought I read the other reviews carefully. Others stated that KitchenAid changed the standard size mouth design on the workbowl cover in 2009 and that the old tube pusher would not fit in the new work bowl cover. To avoid this problem, I ordered both the standard work bowl cover and the standard double feed tube pusher NEW. Again, both were brand new items (cover model #KFP7WC and double feed tube pusher model #KFP7DPOB, both sold from Amazon LLC). Guess what? The pusher STILL didn't fit in the cover!! The box for the pusher even states that it fits the KitchenAid cover model #KFP7WC, but it doesn't.Amazon was very gracious with the return of the food pusher, and I'm keeping the bowl cover as it is so much more convenient than the horrible plastic latch safety system of my OEM widemouth cover. I will of course continue to shop with Amazon, I just hope they and KitchenAid will stop cross referencing these items at fits for one another. Beware this bowl cover.

The work bowl cover I had cracked and a piece at the end of the feed chute broke off. I was pleased to see a replacement cover was available. It came promptly and now the food processor works like a charm again.
