Sturdy Addition Near Bird feeders
This is a quality piece, plenty sturdy without adding weight to the base, which you can do. The top is removable for easy filling and cleaning. Birds and squirrels drink out of it daily, although no one has yet taken a bath! The interior of the bowl in textured which I initially found easy to clean with a paper towel. After some time and algae (or other) staining, it will require a good brushing to get into the "dimples." In no way does that reduce my all over pleasure with this item.

Heavy Outdoor Bird Bath Crumble
What we thought was a classic simple outdoor bird bath for our St. Francis garden actually cannot be left outdoors in cold weather. We always buy resin statuary and fountains for our property that withstand the winters with no problem. They have the option of taking them into the garage as they are light weight...but we haven't since we moved here 2 years ago. One winter of this heavy concrete(?) composite bird bath and it has crumbled like a toll house cookie! I am going to repair what I can with a concrete mix instead of chucking it in the dumpster. Save yourself the stress and buy a resin sturdy bird bath or a metal one!

Nice piece - happy with almost everything about it
I really love this birdbath. The deep bowl is perfect for a solar fountain, the base is very sturdy and can be filled with sand through the hole in the top if you want a little added stability. I particularly love that the bowl “screws” into the base! I have a concrete birdbath I’ve had for years and eventually had to use concrete adhesive to permanently fix the bowl to the top because it kept falling off, it never really seated firmly into the base. So the fact that this has ridges that countersink into the base and “screws” in with a simple twist is a definite bonus. Now for the downside and the reason I did not give this item 5 stars. It arrived damaged. It’s packed well, but there was a puncture in the box that was taped up at some point. It doesn’t look like shipping damage because the same tape covering the puncture is also holding the label. So if this left the seller already damaged, then I’m particularly dismayed. Especially since I have back issues and had to not only remove it from the box, but had to repackage it for return. A replacement is on the way, so I will eventually get this amazing birdbath in my garden - but not happy that I had to dolly the box to my garden, take it out, and when I removed the packaging to place it, discovered the damage. I went ahead and placed the bowl so I could see how it seated and actually see it in my garden before packing it back up. It’s a little shorter than some, but it’s still a nice piece. Pics included - hopefully by end of the week I’ll have this in my garden permanently!UPDATE: replacement arrived in perfect condition and I loved it so much I purchased another one of a different style. Both are fantastic and love them!

NOT CONCRETE (I'm an idiot - Don't be me)
I am SUPER conflicted because it loos nice and it is more or less solid BUT the 3rd point in the description says DURABLE CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION ... This birdbath is plastic - 1000% plastic. For $130 I am not the least bit satisfied. I pretend that I spent $47 and I feel like I got a good deal. It is WAY overpriced for 21" of plastic. Buy ballast to fill the pedestal like sand or small rocks to weigh it down if you decide to buy it anyway. My wife likes it so we're keeping it but if I actually had a choice ? Yeah, it'd be goin' back. I'd rather but a real concrete one from my local garden shop for $180.

Very poor quality
When I first got this, I was pleased with the weight of it & the fact that the top screwed onto the pedestal. I also liked the clean lines & that I could fill the pedestal with sand to stabilize it. Within just a couple of months, though, the finish in the basin started to show small signs of wearing away & I was starting to see bits of the brown base material underneath. This was in the summer so it wasn’t like it had already been subject to cold temperatures. Now that it has been outdoors through a very mild winter, there are large areas all around the pedestal that have flaked off. Fortunately that had not happened in the basin but there are the beginnings of it along the rim. It has been taken down, as I am concerned the birds could end up ingesting some of the coating, & headed for the garbage dump. This thing has been outdoors for 9 months. I sure would have expected it to last a lot longer than that.

A Bird Spa Day
Gets the job done. Not too heavy. Easy to assemble (lube the threads to make easier assembly) and clean. I tip water out and refill with garden hose each day. I placed on a small section of flag stone which I leveled. I also added a solar power fountain which is a lot of fun.

Fine while it lasted
I really liked the look of this bird bath, and it was fine while it lasted. It started to peel and chip after one year.
