Easy replacement of old device
purchased to replace an old failed version of this controller. Easy plug in and re-program of new device. Slightly different appearance and colour- brighter white- compared to second controller it sits next to. Works as it should.

So Easy
So far I can find nothing really to dislike , but if I must, be aware that when you fit the programmer it is only a rear cable entry (my old one allowed bottom entry for surface mounted cables and also the controls protective cover be careful you don't foul the settings buttons when fitting lol....but saying that it is a very minor inconvenience. It took me well less than an hour to fit including re-routing my cables for rear entry and to set it up..instructions easy and concise were hardly needed as I do have some experience...the wiring sequence was identical to my old Altech, but I recommend you photograph your old ones connections for reference and compare the instruction books to be sure ..When fitted the time set itself automatically ...its so easy to programme especially copying days from one to the other and the display is nice and easy to read . All in all a very good product , we shall see for how long , but as it is a Honeywell I don't anticipate any problems ..Please note, even though fitting is should be within the skilsets of competent DIY'er if you are in any doubt I do recommend you consult a suitably qualified electrician / Gas fitter..

Very good, but……..
This is a very nice looking timer and works really well. Whilst the timer is very easy to set and adjust, not so the clock or the panel light. There’s no instructions in their booklet to let you know how to switch from a 12hr clock to a 24hr one. Nor are there instructions on how to turn off the panel display light, so it looks as if it’s permanently on. To me it should ONLY light up when it’s on NOT all the time.I got a reply from them telling me how to adjust but tbh, it was so damn complicated I can’t be bothered! For that it only gets 4 not 5 stars!

Easy to fit and set up
Bought this for my 80 odd year old neighbour, as we have power cuts fairly regulately round here and her old controller needed setting up after each power cut, as she has no Wi-Fi this was a very useful controller, as a lot of the other ones need Wi-Fi to work, the hardest bit which finding which circuit the controller was wired to after that it was very easy, just to mount the new back plate and wire, it used four wires to do, then set up the controler very simple thank you Amazon for supplying these items that were without the internet.

Good but functions differently from my past heating controller
I like the look of this heating controller, & the light which illuminates the settings as I need to keep it in a dark area. I previously had a Danfloss which came when my house was new.The Honeywell has an optinonal hour extra for heating or water which I find useful. It operates with a room thermostat whereas my Danfloss had only a sensor, I had to buy this as it does not come included and get it fitted. The Danfloss kept my house from going below whatever automatic temperature I set overnight no matter how cold it was outside. With the Honeywell I would have to switch to constant & alter the room thermostat to do the same thing on cold nights, or to keep the house from falling below a certain temperature during the day - if I want to have bursts of heat say in the evenings on the auto settings.I will have to remember this if I am going away & need to prevent frozen pipes. As the back plate on the Danfloss was different from the Honeywell it was not a simple switch from one to the other to fit, and I needed to call a heating engineer. However, I am getting used to the changes and overall like the Honeywell better than the old Danfloss.

The cover doesn’t flip up it has to be removed
I returned it. Didn’t like that fact that the cover has to be removed to get to controls. Changed it for one with flip up cover. It was awkward to do when the controller is inside a cupboard.
