I was recommended this collar, as my then pup just kept pullingIt seems to have done the trick. I've moved onto a harness. I do think this collar is better for bigger dogs, I have a cockapoo, and although it looks OK I think it would suit a bigger dog better.

This is a really good collar, I wanted a collar with a buckle as I don't trust the snap together type, also I didn't want the collars that have neither snap together or buckle as you have to re-size these every time you put them on ( if you slip the collar over the dogs head and don't re-size it then you're doing it wrong) BUT, Amazon lists this as a "frequently returned item" I don't believe it's because of the quality but the fact that people don't know what they are ordering. It states in the description that these collars are for large medium and small dogs so people could be forgiven for thinking that they are a "one size fits all" as there is no size stated in the description, I finally found the size in the technical details right at the bottom of the listing, a section that most probably don't look at. If size was stated in the main description I think Mighty Paw would sell a lot more and not so many would be returned as it's a good collar.

Seems like a good idea and there are some good product reviews, however, this is not as effective as it seems. The listing in Amazon shows several sizes, yet you cannot select the appropriate size, so I took what was delivered. The collar I received was too large for my 4-month-old collie, so I had to drill additional holes into the leather to achieve a snug fit. With the collar fitting well, the concept of tightening around the dog's neck does work to some extent, however my dog was still comfortable pulling on the leash constantly. The collar is too wide, and the chain links too big, which prevents effective movement of the collar. A prong collar will be the next option, and probably the best from what I have learned from professional dog trainers.The other issue I have with this collar, is the retaining strap has fallen off. There is a staple that hold the loop together, and this is stapled very close to the ends of the loop, which means a little pressure when fitting the collar caused the staple to pull through and snap, so the collar is pretty useless now. I will try to fix this with superglue, however the staple they have used to manufacture this is too small - it's a design fault.Consider this a regular collar, not a training collar, and it might be worth a couple more stars. It is certainly not a "no Pull Collar" as written in the produce title.

Quick release catch does not work after a week. I have to squeeze the collar over her head

Lovely quality. I have a small (6.3kg) Westie and I bought a small and it fits him perfectly. Hasn’t left any staining on his coat and the leather is lovely and soft.
