I used this product for my son Lexus GS300. His compressor went out.

After the install, I could not get the clutch to stay engaged. Thinking that because the part was new that my problem must be a bad relay so I took it to a trusted mechanic and he completely went through the A/C system. The last thing that he checked was the compressor and apparently there is a relay switch in the unit that is defective so I ended up having the whole job done with a $1,700 price tag. It took him a day and a half of effort to find the problem and I got stuck with the labor cost. Sucks!!! Not a happy camper.

We installed this unit on a 2003 GS300, the compressor would click off at idle. The unit blows cold when it works, my car have to run above idle for the clutch to stay engaged. Meaning I would hit the AC button and the ac would blow cool and when I’m at a stand still with the rpms at idle the clutch would disengage so it would stop blowing cold until I hit the ac button and get the rpms above 1000

Freezing cold

Troublesome unit, blows ice cold when driving, when you stop you have to reset the a/c every time. It puts an unnecessary load on your engine causing the a/c clutch to get kicked out and then blow hot air. Now it actually stalls out my GS300 when it's on. When I unclipped it from the system it stopped causing the issue. Either go with the OEM or another one with higher reviews. Do NOT make the mistake of getting this one.

Price was great and seems to work great!
