I love this shampoo bar. It works better than any others I've tried. Lathers great. Feel soft. Rinses clean. It was rated the best on a couple of different sites. I looked up the best shampoo bar and this was what I found. The bar is really small but you don't need a lot. I really only need a little and my hair is past my waist.

Heard about shampoo bars a few months ago and decided to do some research to find the best one out there. After reading several reviews, I chose JR LIGGETTE'S Moisturizing Formula for my dry, curly, now letting it go gray hair. I've tried MANY regular shampoos in the past that promise to moisturize my hair, but they just don't work. Today was the first time I washed my hair with the shampoo bar AND their conditioner. The bars are very small as other reviewers have pointed out, but I only wash my hair once a week, so they should last longer than most. I started by trying to get a lather in my hands, which wasn't really working, so I started rubbing it on my hair. Surprisingly, it created a great lather and because I wash my hair twice, the second time had even more lather. After each rinse there was a curious "feel" to my hair that almost felt "squeaky clean", if that makes sense. I was a bit worried about what my hair was going to do when I blow dried it as usual, but then I used the conditioning bar after and when I did, my hair felt softer after that since. As soon as I started blow drying my hair, I IMMEDIATELY felt a difference in how my hair felt and looked like! It almost seemed too good to be true and started thinking maybe I hadn't rinsed it out enough and it just felt that way because there was too much of a good thing?? When I finished drying my hair, it actually felt very smooth and well nourished, but almost had a bit of an oily feeling to it as well. Hard to describe and know if it's because my dry hair NEVER feels that way just after blowdrying or like I said, maybe it needed more rinsing. I felt as if I rinsed it just as long as any other shampoo and conditioner though. I always follow up with a bit of hair oil and then a Keratin Heat Protecting spray before I straighten it, but haven't done that yet. I definitely will not add the oil, but will add the heat protector. I'm really curious as to whether it's going to feel the same once I straighten it and how it's going to look and feel for the next few days before I shampoo and condition it again, but as of right now, I would say my hair definitely feels and looks better after just one use!!

I prefer bar shampoos, so the fact that this is one was automatically a plus. It can leave a bit of residue if not rinsed properly and when it is rinsed properly it can leave the hair feeling a bit dry, so make sure to pair it with a sufficiently moisturizing conditioner. I have fine low porosity hair with waves, and it can make my hair straighter and frizzier, but it does work well for clarifying.

I have very fine, medium length blonde hair. I only tried the shampoo bar for two days. That is all I could take. The lather was fine. I only used it on my roots/scalp area. That squeaky clean/waxy build up feel that people are talking about is totally true. I have never had my hair feel that way before. I did use the conditioner bar on my ends and that helped but not near enough. My hair felt very tangled and very dry. After I blow dried it, the ends felt a little better, I was able to run my fingers through my hair but the roots still felt godawful. By the nighttime it felt like I hadn’t washed my hair in weeks or that I used to much product. I washed my hair the next day and tried rinsing it really really well and i didn’t use any product afterwards and just let my hair air dry. The experience was the same. The third day I washed my hair with a clarifying shampoo and then used the bar conditioner. This combination worked well and I will keep trying it.The plus side is, for the two days I used the shampoo and conditioner I had very minimal hair in my drain. The third day, that I used just the conditioner I only had a little bit of hair. So, at least, the fact that it lathers and that you won’t have to clean your drain out as much is all true.

I must be doing something wrong because it leaves my hair in a greasy mess. It leaves behind a thick heavy oily film and my hair looks so sticky! I just don’t understand the rave reviews! I take my time to rinse and it just doesn’t come off.Won’t repurchase.

This shampoo is literally the BEST!!! I am blown away by how amazing it is!!! I have thin hair, and am prone to dryness. This really does moisturize! My hair is left soft, clean, and smells great! It also takes very little to be very effective! I hardly use any soap at all! I don't even need to use conditioner! That has been unheard of! I love that it only has natural ingredients as well! I will buy over and over and over again! I have my whole family using this shampoo!
