Be careful with sand, but otherwise works perfectly
Works perfectly until you get sand stuck in it - had to buy a second one due to sand particles getting in the mechanism, but bought another one as it worked so well up to this point

Easy to fit and remove as required
Great movable cover for the camera. Easy to fit and remove as required. Protects the lens when not is use. Just what I needed and a fraction of the price of the branded one. Great smooth movement. Recommended.

failed first day
I wanted additional protection for my Brand New OM TG7 purchased Christmas eve leading up to the start of 2025. It operated fine at home, but as soon as I fitted it and took it out onto the river with me, it closed and failed to ever open again.....tried rinsing it in bottled water (the river was very clean anyway) and again under tap water when home, but never opened more than 30%. hopeless.

Great copy of the Olympus original
Seems to be constructed in a very similar way to the LB-T01 lens barrier, but at less than 1/3 the cost.Mine has a nice smooth action and can be opened one handed. When closed it forms a quite solid shield over the lens so you can shove it in a pocket without fear of scratching your lens.Great item and price.

Decent, but a little stiff
As per some earlier reviews this lens cover is a little stiff with the mechanism. Some have used silicone spray to loosen the mechanism. I personally haven't used anything yet. I may decide to try that fix at some point. So far I've managed to get around the stiffness by being careful with how I open it. For the price it's a good item, it is a shame about the stiffness. However I do think that some other reviewers are being a bit dramatic, as some have said they felt like the mechanism might break. I've not really had those worries as this seems to be tougher than it looks. I've repeatedly opened and closed it just to see if it would break and so far that hasn't happened.

Great protection to prevent scratches and water splashes on lens
Really useful to protect the lens from water splashes, but can sometimes be a little stiff to open. Needs to be removed from the camera and thoroughly washed after each time near sea water.Easy to remove from camera (there are 3 small screws on the camera lens mount that are prone to corrosion and must be carefully washed).I have 2 of these now - much cheaper than the official Olympus version
