Bought these for kitchen they were great for giving lighting above kitchen tops

Extend your strips. The main light strip PSU can power a lot of these.

These are brilliant and generate a lot of lumens. Ideal for a room without enough light fittings like my attic. For the same price i could have paid an electrician to fit a proper light but whatever, hue lights are an indulgence and I know it !The responsiveness and hues are fantastic and I sync these with the pc for gaming and lightshow for the kids using hue dynamic app.Downsides are the adhesion is weak, this makes them removable but they will pull the paint off if you do. The natural warmth of the strip will cause the adhesive to soften and they regularly pull away ( i mounted on ceiling) but they have not fallen off in 2 months. They can be tricky to install if you have any corners and you obviously need a plug.

I have both the V3 and this the V4 Lightstrips. This review applies to the extension as I had little problem installing the base unit, however the extensions are not as good as the V3. First of all the connectors are smaller and don't connect as well as the old ones, so they come loose and disconnect before you can stick the lightstrips on a wall. And then there is the problem of the backing, it's not as sticky as the old ones and I had difficulty with sticking on the same wall as the base unit! Ironically, I also had issues with getting the backing strip off as this seems to pull off the adhesive strip as well! Where as it took me about 5 minutes to install the v3 version it took me 30 minutes to install these ones and badly at that. I have had to sellotape the extension strip to the base strip to stop it from disconnecting!

This ain’t cheap but it did resolve the issue when kit was re positioned

Used Philips hue light strips v4 for up and down lighting in our new kitchen. Very happy with shining up on top of the wall units. The under counter lights give plenty of light to work that we don't ever use the big light. The plinth lights are great too. I have the under cabinet light strips and under plinth light strips in a defused holder.I used 3 main units and extended them where required for each light area. The longest is 4m and we’ve had no problems.We have them all wired to a wall switch and use it as a normal light. We don't really play about with the sterling’s or colours so but the app does work fine on the phone.
