I ordered a Julep crème to powder eyeshadow stick when there was a VERY good lightening deal going on. Never tried the brand before and was interested. Once I got my eyeshadow sticks, they were SO GOOD I immediately bought more Julep makeup products - more eyeshadow sticks, blush/lip sticks, lip matte color (one of the lip colors is seen in the photo for this review), etc. The eyeshadow sticks glide on very easily, with a strong color (meaning it only takes a swipe or two), are blend-able with each other (I have numerous colors in these eyeshadow sticks and I blend them each time on my eyelid - I have a few diff colors blended in the photo for this review), are long-lasting and smudge proof (I never ever sleep in makeup, however, I did forgot one night and the makeup stayed in place for 24 hours without smudging or creasing (the photo for this review is after sleeping in the makeup and wearing it for 24+ hours). In addition, it’s waterproof! This eyeshadow truly has it all!Now, my entire makeup regimen consists of Julep products. Just simply top notch products. You can do a natural, 5 min or less makeup routine with Julep products - that’s my daily routine (5 min or less, which is how long it took me to do the makeup in the photo for this review). Take the chance and buy these Julep eyeshadow sticks, you will be pleasantly surprised!

These are pretty nice but the formula is odd. It does go on creamy and eventually dries to somewhat of a powder but it stays creamy feeling for a long time. I don’t use a primer so don’t know if that would make a difference but the creamy feeling lasting for several hours seems strange to me. The Putty matte is basically a non-color. I wanted a natural look but this has very little color and kind of looks like nothing on my lids. Even so, beyond the formula and color, I would buy this again. I’ll just go for a color that will show up better.

I love these colors more than expected, especially Stone!! I have cooler undertones, so warm shades can look like I’m bruised - but these are true neutral colors and I couldn’t be happier! I swatched them on my hand and tried to wash off with soap and they still stayed put pretty well! I will say, I did have some creasing a bit; but it was an easy fix with just the light touch of my fingertip.

I was deciding between Thrive cosmetics, Julep, or a cheaper brand. Overall Thrive and Julep performed the same. Thrive was slightly better and Julep had one break immediately but I’d pick them for the price and no shipping fee. The best/ most universal color for Thrive was Tara shimmer. It’s a warm copper. Juleps best color by far was Rose shimmer. It’s not super pink. It’s between pink and copper but it would be pretty and flattering on anyone. **NYX brand light pink eye shadow stick is gorgeous. It doesn’t glide quite as smoothly, but I still like it much more! I also like nyx (no affiliation) light pink blush is perfect for cheeks, eyes, and highlighting anything for a natural glow. If you want to make the inside corners of your eyes pop buy a true silver or white eyeliner. It don’t look fake or like too much esp if you blend! All of the light ones claiming to do make eyes pop (nude, pearl, peach, etc) do not work and just look muddied.Here is what didn’t work for me;The julep light pink didn’t show up at ALL on my eyelid. The pearl shimmer is kind of a dirty looking white and not in a good way. The mauve shimmer is not flattering for light brown eyes. Again it literally just looks like a dirty eyelid on its own. Even though one broke, I popped it back into the hole and it’s working so far, so if you want to try julep they do glide on smoothly and easily. Key is: I’d order a medium color. All of the light colors showed nothing and unless you’re going to build and make a Smokey eye the dark ones look dirty and unflattering. The medium times are pretty and quick!

Love the creaminess of these sticks. The colors are beautiful and last!

My sister gave me one of these for Christmas and I love it. Then I purchased about 6 more so I'm hooked and now I think I need a blue and a purple. I demonstrated on my BFFs hand and she loved them too so she is getting these two for either Christmas or her Birthday. They go on so easy and don't smudge and stay on all day.
