Good enough.
Note that this tape does not have adhesive! Old school friction fit using the end cap. This tape is good enough for my budget minded refresh of a 1985 Schwinn World Sport. Chrome end plugs, two small strips for caliper bracket sides and finishing tape included. Installation was not the easiest but turned out nicely. This tape is not very stretchy. Pretty stiff and takes more hand strength and constant tension/pressure and tugging to give a nice flat flush look to thin out the edges. Other reviewers who couldn’t install it nicely simply don’t have the technique down. I probably wouldn’t buy it again as a first choice but totally would for a bike I’m just making a little better on a budget. Good classic look. The final feel is decent enough though not super cushy and has a slight vinyl feel. But that’s what gloves are for. All in all. Good enough for the cost. I can’t speak to the durability (yet).

pretty good for a budget tape
I'm honestly surprised by how well this tape has been holding up.I usually use Brooks pleather tape which I really love. But for a new build I wasn't sure if I wanted brown or not, so I figured I'd try a cheap tape to see how I feel. Well I like the color and so far the tape has proved to be pretty durable with a nice amount of squish. Give it a shot.FYI -The bar end plugs are garbage. Most free bar end plugs are garbage, so it's ok.But don't expect anything you might want to use.

Easy to Use and Aesthetic Handle Bar Tape
I recently refurbished an old Schwinn Traveler, giving it a fresh paint job and replacing almost all the parts. This handlebar tape was a great addition to the project. It’s affordable, easy to install, and the clean look really tied the whole bike together. I love the brown rustic color. The tape was super simple to wrap around the handlebars, and it stayed securely in place. Not only does it look great, but it also provides a comfortable grip, making for a smoother, more enjoyable ride. It’s soft enough to absorb some vibrations but firm enough to give me good control. However, it’s worth noting that the tape isn’t the most durable. While storing and moving the bike around, I noticed it can fray and rip a bit more easily than some higher-end tapes. If you’re not careful with handling, it can show wear fairly quickly.Overall, for the price, it’s still a solid choice—easy to install, stylish, and comfortable. Just keep in mind that it may not hold up as well with heavy use or rough handling. Still, it’s a great option if you’re looking for an affordable upgrade!

Digging the vintage brown!
I purchased 2 sets, Retro Brown and Natural Brown. They both look great paired with Brooks saddles on our blue Trek road bikes. Very happy with the look, finish, feel, and ease of installation. I would have been happy with maybe an extra couple inches of wrap for each bar since I was short just a hair, but not a huge deal. This could very well have been my error while installing. The wrap is slightly stretchy, but wont break easily during install like some I've used in the past.Since installing I've done RAGBRAI (7 days/468 miles) and Peddlers Jamboree (44 miles, 2 days) as well as light weekend riding. Its been rained on several times in heavy downpour while strapped to the roof for over 1500 miles, and it still looks brand new. I did take a dive once and the road scuffed it decently, but it never tore. Very impressed! The chrome caps are a little cheap, and one popped out. They dont have the same tension as the Bontrager caps. I just used my old caps and my wife is using my extras

Good non sticky tape for the price.
Cheap tape for newbies these days comes with a sticky back, which makes it easier if you are wrapping bars for the first time and you don't know what you're doing. An example of that is the Deda tape for about the same price. But if you are familiar with the process, you know that the sticky back is a bad idea and makes a mess, takes ages to clean off and makes the tape impossible to reuse, so if you can you should avoid it. This 'kingou' tape has no sticky backing, and while it sure is synthetic and plasticy, it functions more or less like real tape: you tension it, put a cople of rounds of electric tape at the stem end, and you're set - no glue anywhere on your handlebars. It's not real leather, and it's not cotton either, so if you're into the feel of authentic materials this is not for you. But for what it is, it's good.

Cushy, no tape backing, very slick.
No tape backing and very slick finish. Ok if you’re looking for a cheap, good-looking option. Not very good from a tackiness/performance stand point.

They went on easy and look great and the padding is comfortable
I put these grips on my bike. They went on easy and look great and the padding is comfortable, That being said they started to peel on the first use.... Not sure if I have a bad run or if the material is not up to par but I ride to and from work a couple of days a week. Yes, they are only 9 bucks but I expected to last a little longer than one ride.If you don't ride a lot and want a nice look these are great. If you want them to hold up for a while they won't.After speaking with the manufacturer, They sent me a new set for free. Informed me of which tape was more suited for long time use and what would be a better fit for me. I am very pleased with their customer service and excited about the new tape they are sending me!

A no go >but will stay white forever
Although a nice surface texture and quality, the lack of adhesive means that you have to pull extremely tight or tape just bunches up. By the time the tape is nicely wrapped, the padding was all stretched and feels just like bare drops. Good if you want a 1 ride tape, I guess.3month update: it offers a horrible ride feel, but boy does it last and still looks white. Probably as white as it did originally. I'll give it a 1 in quality but a 10 in durability
