Q: Does this require a handset lifter?

Depends on the phone. Some Cisco Phones Require a lifter (Older phones) Some newer phones do the lifting internally and requires a specific interconnect cable such as APC-43 cable. We use 7975 model phones which do require the cable, but no mechaniocal lifter.

Q: Can I answer the phone from the headset?

Yes, you do have on-ear controls for easy access to key call control capabilities, including answer call, end call, reject a call, hold/resume (for multiple calls), mute/unmute, volume up, and volume down. Q: Is the y-cable included to plug into the aux port? i have a cisco phone 8841, no usb port.

Yes, the Cisco Headset 560 series standard base comes with USB to USB Cable: for devices with USB connectivity, USB Y-Cable: for Cisco IP Phones without a USB port, and USB-A to USB-C Cable (available separately for PC or Mac devices). Q: I use ring central on my laptop. will this headset work with my ring central phone?

The headset is compatible with the Cisco IP phones, Cisco Webex, Webex Meetings and Cisco Webex Teams.
