Great Albacore trolling rod.
Second review. To right my wrong on first review. I received exactly what I ordered at the correct price. Rod looks great. Rod has great tip moderate fast. Great backbone for a 50-80 lb Model. Using this in my 8 pole albacore spread. Needed a shorter rod in my spread to help keep lines from tangling. This is going to work perfect in the line up. One on either side.

cheaper than name brand planerboard masts
As advertised, beats payin $500 plus for some brand of planer board mast, slap a big ol penn reel on them, string some hi-vis 200 lb braid on reel, and viola, you got yourself some fancy planerboard mast’s.

Sharp Looking Rod
Got this rod 2 days ago. Must say like another reviewer said the packing was to be desired, but rod was ok.Looks like you could put some bubble wrap in the box to help cushion the rod from possible damage. Over all I really like this rod. The rollers are the deciding factor. Just rigged it with a Penn Squal reel for deep sea fishing. I think this rod is a very good value for the money. I will probally buy a couple more after I see how it performs on the ocean. Don't forget to add the bubble wrap.....

Great Value for the money
The Guides alone have my vote. Bought 1 for my Son for Christmas 2022 and 1 for myself. Then after receiving his I went ahead and bought 3 more for myself. This is a short pole, 5 feet, and it is made to bend on the really big fish. I have 2 poles that are 60+ years old each. Kept them as wall hangers because I put regular steel eyes on it and wrapped it myself in 1996. The cost of the roller guides alone were between $100-200. Keep them as wall hangers and buy NEW rods for less than the cost of the guides. So this makes for a SUPER value.

Have had this for a few years
I bought this rod a few years back and it’s been well worth the money I’ve caught some of my personal bests with it and had a lot of great fights with it and never once have had a issue …as long as you know how to care for your rod sand can get into the wheels and that’s a headache but All in all a great rod for the price and I expect it to be for years to come
