It works?
Uhm. It's 309 tool wrap for austenitizing high alloys.. it works because it's kinda simple. Have I had some sticking and welding at ~2200, yes, but that's to be expected. Just an honest review. Expensive as hell. Anti scale compound (ATP 641) works just as well if not better for nitrogen based steels If I'm austenitizing nitrogen based steels such as Vanax I will anti scale compound the foil because the anti scale will crumble and keep oxygen out it creates some gas that I can't identify just notice a drop in O2 on a 4 gas monitor so my guess is nitrogen because if it was argon I'd measure a higher level at ground level. It's lighter than oxygen. Whatever it is.
