What size is the shade

The length of the shade is 9 1/2 inches long and the diameter of the shade is 10 inches at the bottom. I hope this helps, it''s a very beautiful lamp I personally think it is too small.

I'm trying to avoid a rotary switch due to arthritis. What kind of switch does this have?

There is a rotary switch on the lamp below the bulb. At least it is not on the cord. I have had joint replacement on both thumbs, but have no difficulty with the switch. I hope this helps.

Can a dimmer be used with the bulb?

Haven't tried a dimmer, but it's not a tri-bulb lamp.

Is the base pink or have pink in it?

The base is made from seashells, which may appear to have some pink depending on lighting and iridescence.
