Seriously Bright, Quality EDC Light
Let's start with that 3100 lumen turbo setting. Informal testing tells me that number is legit. My Streamlight HL 5-X is known to put out around 3200 lumens in real world testing and direct comparison shows the much smaller TK 16 is very nearly as bright on turbo. Throw is very very close as well. Spill angle is a bit narrower on the TK 16 but spill light quality is excellent. After 60 - 90 seconds on turbo the light steps down power to reduce heat but that's unavoidable with this much light in this small of a package. Even with the light "only" set to1000 lumen there's enough light to handle just about anything. With the five light levels on this light you could do anything from reading a book next to a sleeping partner on eco, to lighting up acres of land at once or lightning up an animal at a thousand feet using the turbo setting.Beam color is a very cool, bright white.Battery life is Ok but that's what spare batteries are for anyway. Get the Fenix two cell charger if you don't already have a charger. Yes it will charge these longer than normal batteries. This light will run for more than two days on eco mode, great for emergency use.Build quality is outstanding. This is a professional quality light. The two switch layout is genius and very intuitive. The TK 16 is still small enough to wear on a duty belt. The only slight negative is the lack of charging port / the need to remove the battery to charge. For a professional user who may need to do many battery changes a week this could be an inconvenience. However, this eliminates a potential point of water intrusion. It's very common for rechargeable lights to have a rubber port cap that no longer seats correctly after a while and once that happens water can take a toll. The TK 16 will never have that weakness. So personally I'm fine with the lack of external charging port, but some won't be and this is worth noting. It's also a bit of a shame that no charge indicator light was included but this isn't a big negative as the light continually steps down over time and eventually flashes periodically so you get plenty of warning. I would have preferred a flatter black finish but now I'm really nitpicking. This is an outstanding and highly versatile light, and it's well worth the money.

Extremely bright
This light is extremely bright and very durable. I have dropped it many times and work out in the rain with it but the light still works perfectly. The only warning I would give is to not let it run on the highest setting as it gets very hot and has melted through the case it came in. Otherwise it is a great product.

Horrible Customer Service, okay flashlight
Bad customer service. Battery stopped working 4 months after purchase. Contacted Fenix customer service in March and was promised a new battery would be sent. Now is Jun 30 and still have not received a battery. Horrible response time as well. Currently waiting on a response from Jun 23, still nothing. Flashlight is relatively good. However cannot last at full brightness for long and quickly overheats the metal making it too hot to hold. Will NOT buy again once the flashlight stops working/breaks

Great light. Great deal.
This was a gift for my son. He has said the he loves the light. The switch function is very efficient and mechanically sound. May buy another for myself.

Do not point at anyones including your dogs or pets EYES. So bright I'm sure it will damage them.
Get the TK16 with an extra battery, give both batteries a total charge and your good. At 100 meters on a dark night if you have good eyes you can easily tell difference between a Coyote. a bobcat, Raccoon a person or your neighbors Labrador. It's lights up an animal or person like its daylight at 90 meters on a pitch black night. It starts getting warm on the brightest setting after 1 minute HOT after two minutes. Just lower brightness a level or two and its still quite bright. Strong setting still available if needed

Worked great!
Only three stars for water resistance, as I've not had a chance to test that feature, but the flashlight is amazingly bright!! What I don't like is, the holster; that could have been designed much better. Often, I feel heat on my side where I carry the flashlight and discover the flashlight is on and on high (tremendous heat output at max brightness) because the light was turned on while in the holster. It also sits too high on my belt for my comfort. I will design a better holster when I have time. The only other issue I have is the placement of the button for different beam strengths (brightness). It is on the end, right next to the power button, but I find myself fumbling with it to set it where I need it or accidentally hitting it while trying to turn the light on, normally on low, because it seems to self-adjust in the holster at times. Overall, very happy with my purchase.June 13, 2023 - Update on review. It workED great, for just over one year. Now, the main switch has failed and only the strobe works. Doubt it is under warranty, but I am disappointed that it failed after only one year of use.If I could speak with the manufacture, I would suggest a couple of improvements, beginning with a higher quality on/off switch. Along with that, I would move the on/off switch to the side because 1) I have, on occasion, looked down at the holster only to see the flashlight on, burning up my battery for no reason (it was the heat output from it being on that I felt and caused me to look at the flashlight); and 2) scrolling through the brightness levels when using the flashlight is not convenient when the light is in the palm of my hand, holding like a normal flashlight (vs. holding it in a closed fist with my thumb on the switch).I would also redesign the holster; it is up to high on my belt. I would also ditch the Velcro and use a snap or some other method that does not accumulate string and such, inhibiting the Velcro from holding the cover on the flashlight and preventing it from falling it out. Reducing my overall rating from three stars to two since the switch failed so soon.
