Works great. Much better than the old style. This one can snap on while the mixer is down. Still get a bit of leakage out the back but definitely helps keep things on the bowl.

Bakers need this.Got it for my girlfriend because she loves baking. It stops the powders from kicking back up at her. Works very well. Fits good and locks on and is stable. Very easy to remove.It’s also cheap and kitchen aide name brand. I recommend.

I own two KitchenAid mixers, a 6-quart and a European model 5-quart Artisan. The 6-quart came with a shield and sits atop the bowl loosely and the shield (and pour spout) can be rotated to a variety of orientations relative to the mixer's body. I bought this shield for my 5-quart and it certainly does the job of keeping splattering contained. However, keep in mind that this model will put your spout in exactly one spot, which might not be in the ideal location for you depending on how your mixer is oriented on your countertop, or depending on whether you prefer to pour with your right or left hand.

This shield for my kitchenaid stand mixer works great! Its high quality plastic and the rubber gripper clips hold it securely to the bowl. The chute works well to add ingredients to the bowl. Only thing I wish the chute was a little bigger and the shield fully covered the back of the bowl.
