Better than expected
I used this on a motorcycle trip through Colorado, camped at over 10,000 feet several times. We had temps down as low as 32 degrees. I was never cold in my hammock. This under quilt is much better quality than I expected it to be. It packs back up easily, seems to be of good enough quality I can use it for years.

No CBS
I've only had a chance to test it when the night temps were in the 50°s and it worked nicely.

So warm
This under quilt blew my expectations away. We camped in the same spot as last year in Breck, and the temps at night get down in the 20-30's. The prior year I was so cold even in a sleeping bag rated for -20 and dressed in sweats, a hoodie, gloves, socks, and hat. This year I tried the under quilt, and I dressed the same to stay warm. The temp got down to 20-30 again, and I had the sleeping bag unzipped and felt perfectly comfortable. I even took my hat off. The quilty is light and not very thick which made me wonder how well it would work. It worked!!

8 foot actual length, not 9.2 advertised
I could've bought any other underquilt priced at $38-40 rather than this one at $50 but paid the extra $10 because the advertised length was 9.2ft (the measurement was taken from the ends of the included shock cords (6-7 inches length each times 2 equals the extra 1.2ft length) at both ends rather than the actual length of the underquilt itself (8 foot length). I almost sent it back to save the $10 but bought it last minute and didn't want to go without. Only an extra -$10 anyway and why the lowered rating.Other than that, it does what an underquilt does. Good quality. Easy attachment. Nice for the cooler nights to keep the underside warm.

A good deal
I've used this for a few camping trips and I am impressed! If you think you don't need one, you do! I was too hot one night, and so I took it off, and was instantly quite cold, even in my 20 degree bag. With a 20 degree down bag and this underbuilt, I can just do low 30s sleeping in baselayers. Any colder I would want more insulation. Without it, even 60 degrees gets you cold on your back. I use it with my Kamok Roo Double XL, as I am very tall. This is too short so I string it with some adjustable cordage. It should be just about perfect on your standard length hammock. It folds up and fits into the bag easily and has convenient pull straps to pack it down. I can't comment on backpacking, but if it's small enough, I think it's a good deal.

Warm and comfortable and I got a great night's sleep
Never used or sat in a hammock once ever and want to give it a try. I set up my hammock and tarp in the backyard (because I'm never going to try something for the first time down the trail) on a 60 degree evening with slight winds. I got in and found a nice angle to lay at and had my woobie rolled up as a pillow. I was very comfortable and got a good feeling that I was going to like hammock camping. It only took seconds to start feeling colder at my butt. Yes, CBS, cold butt syndrome is for real! But that's why I bought the OneTrigris Underquilt, to insulate my bottom side..I know that some people asked the question so I'll say that the underquilt I received did have shock cords tied onto each end. Some reviewers have said that shock cords are needed to keep the ends from ripping out so I was glad to see them. The length of the underquilt and its cords was just a little too short to mount on the same carabiners as my 10 foot long hammock so I added about 6 inches of paracord at one end to get just the right sag. No problem with that and it looks easy to change out the shock cords for whatever length I need. I'll wait for a few hikes until thing have settled in before I do that. So, sleeping in 60 degrees in light winds with a hammock, OneTirgris Underquilt, a woobie and an inflatable pillow. I also used an 8x10 tarp with Mylar on one side hung in an A-frame configuration with the sides tied low. I was warm and comfortable and got a great night's sleep. That's exactly what I wanted from my sleep system .... Recommended!

tested. warm, comfortable and secure down to 32 degrees
Added this under-quilt to my summer hammock rig, consisting of an ENO double and a 12 foot Kelty Noah's tarp, with ENO tree straps. The underquilt snapped right on in seconds. I slept 2 nights, using my Mountain Hardware down bag as a quilt. the footbox kept it on my feet. They system was much easier to get in an out of than trying to climb into a mummy bag inside a hammock. The sides of the double hammock flipped over and cut off any drafts. My recording thermometer got down to 32 degrees, and I was as warm as toast. for cooler camping I would consider an additional of these. My only issue us weight and bulk, not with the under-quilt per se, though that packs as large as a summer down bag, but the system, By the time you get hammock, tarp, tarp, guy rope and stakes and under-quilt your looking at 10 lbs of gear and 4 different sized stuff bags. with a mosquito net add another bag an a couple of pounds. With my Kelty Crestone 2 ( discontinued, but I love it) and thermarest self inflating pad, I get the same or better performance (down to 14 degrees so far) but the combo weighs just over 3 pounds and is easy to pack.Pros: warm and comfortable, easier than just a down bag.Cons: bulky and heavy ( as part of a system) for backpackingKelty Noah's Tarp 12 - 2013I will continue to use the hammock system for truck camping, as it is really comfortable, but will use the tent and pad for backpacking and back country
